Sorry I couldn’t trace back one old post, thread simply runs too fast.


Earlier someone asked about St Andrew or Maris Stella (SAP) for his only son.

For me I would go for Maris Stella.
Hubby’s nephew was from St Andrew and he was badly bullied in school. Likewise for my neighbor’s son!!

Maris Stella is affiliated to CJC whereas St Andrew is affiliated to SAJC. For colleague, I prefer SAJC than CJC. Anyway for boys, I prefer to send them to co-ed schools.

Hubby’s nephew was so traumatised by his experience in SA that he didn’t even want to go back to the affiliated SAJC!! 跑都来不及！

He went on to AJC where he blossomed and ended up doing very well in A-levels. It’s a pity ACJ is now “merged”.

The SA bullies who bullied my neighbour’s son, received public canning in school.

Yes, it is. It would be easier if no choice was given. Either to Express or NA.

NYGH is quite stressful, with a lot of projects, assignments as well as exams. I know that one of the cohorts didn't do very well in the recent exams. Some of the teachers don't seem to be of good quality from the feedback I got. For some students, it can be better to be a big fish in a small pond rather than being a small fish in a big pond.

If your girl prefers RGS, will she be unhappy if you don't choose RGS? What is your objection to the school?

My girl currently in NYGH. Things were good during former principal Mdm Heng's time. But under current new Principal, students feel she spent more time away from students. Beginning of decline.
True, some of the teachers quality worse than main stream school.

My Daughter has got 260 score.

Her first 3 choices are -

Rgs
Mgs
Cedar

I have question regarding Mgs.
Since Mgs offers IB track is it for all students ? Or there will be again selection process to enter ACSI for IB ?

For GEP students, both ESIS & GEP subsidy options are stated in Eligibility letter.
