Yes, it is. It would be easier if no choice was given. Either to Express or NA.
First choice is entry thru affiliation ?X_X:
Was given a choice between Express and NA.
Will be placed out for Express? Or just go for NA?
Express choice
1) 2 points above COP (ACS Barker)
2) 3 pts
3) 3 pts
4) 3 pts
5) 3 pts
6) 3pts -

My girl currently in NYGH. Things were good during former principal Mdm Heng's time. But under current new Principal, students feel she spent more time away from students. Beginning of decline.lindatlc88:
NYGH is quite stressful, with a lot of projects, assignments as well as exams. I know that one of the cohorts didn't do very well in the recent exams. Some of the teachers don't seem to be of good quality from the feedback I got. For some students, it can be better to be a big fish in a small pond rather than being a small fish in a big pond.
If your girl prefers RGS, will she be unhappy if you don't choose RGS? What is your objection to the school?
True, some of the teachers quality worse than main stream school. -

Hi! Do you mean Cedar girls? It's a good school, very academically focussed, but also pushes the gals in their CCA. Can be competitive especially in the top classes (but that could be the case for almost all schools), so will need to manage that...lil_jade:
Mgs olevel or cgs?.pls help
Thanks
Overall, my niece had a great learning experience there.
Perhaps other forumners can advise on MGS (O level).
Thanks for the info on cedar girls as we r considering cedar also.your niece stays nearby or takes transport.we stay in commonwealth.
As said by few others cgs is crescent girls
Usually, the cedar girls will take woodleigh station on the NEL line. The walk to the school is about 10 minutes. There's always company as many girls will be walking along that route in the morning. -
When you select MGS, you need to key in the right school code. MGS has 2 different codes. One for O level track, the other for IB.
When you are placed in IB program, you are already in the IB track from year 1 of secondary school. There is no special exams at the end of year 4. Every year you need to achieve enough points to move on to the next year through projects, assessments, test etc. That's my understanding. MGS IP program has no option to A level track. It is IB all the way.janam:
