I think the numbers indicate that one will need at least. PSLE AL band score (what’s the proper way of saying it anyway?) of between 4 to 7 to qualify for these schools.

      MOE says it's called \"PSLE Score\" 😄

      https://www.moe.gov.sg/microsites/psle/PSLE%20Scoring/psle-scoring.html

I think I'll call it PSLE AL Band or AL Range, cos the heading: \"PSLE Score\" is for applicant to check which AL Band their total final PSLE score falls within.

        According to Google search :

Arrange your numbers from lowest to highest and then eliminate them from the left and right, one-by-one. Whichever number remains in the end is the median! Special note: If TWO numbers remain (which happens about half the time), you're supposed to add them together and divide by two.

        Answer: 4? :nunchuk:
Oh. So when PAP talks about the median of the top 100 earners, what they mean is the mean/middle of the top 50th and top 51st earner? I suppose saying pegging ministerial pay to some statistical function of top 100 sounds better than pegging to some other statistical function of top 50 & 51... :imanangel:

Thanks, this is interesting. I tried to find on mobile version of SIS but clcnt find it. Went to the full site, then can see....

I compiled some schools, sharing in case someone finds them useful!

I just realised that out of these schools, only NYGH accept students from its affiliated school. A check on SIS shows that the scores for NYGH affiliation is:

          Lower: 250
          Upper: 277
          Median: 258

The median for non-affiliated is 268. The difference is 10 scores. 😓
...The difference also has its origin fr the production of estrogen & testosterone which contribute to boys tending to be less inclined to sit still for as long as females and tend to be more physically impulsive and aggressive.

So we mums & teachers hv to learn strategies to help the boys sit still & focus. And we’ve to watch our girls as they grow & learn to handle their emotions & self-worth v peers. It’s a retrenchment proof job! 😉

Oh dear. DD seems to have the worse of both... :slapshead:

Why? What happened to yr DD if not too sensitive a subj to share?
Nothing happened lah. She is just one of those who cannot sit still & focus, can be physically impulsive, and at the same time be overly sensitive re emotions & self-worth v peers. And she plays and cusses as good as any boy in those online MMORPG shooting games. So, she wants to go co-ed school. 😂

I thought ACSI, Methodist, St Nicks, SJI, SCGS also have affiliation students?

Ah, ok... I didn't know that.
All along, I thought just meet a specified affiliated score then they can enter into the relevant course.
