MOM only tracks history of symptoms empyt in Singapore. The system hv no connection to reflection empyt in any other country (M’sia, Saudi, HK or elsewhere). Empyt agencies do not usually provide true reasons why maid was let go after only a few mths with previous eyer.

The employment status reflects that she’s employed from oct 2018 and there’s no end date reflected. Does it mean that she’s currently employed?

This is because her WP is still under her current & soon to be ex employer's name for a max of 3 wks till she got transferred out to another new employer.

Yes, Eileen is right. Even when an eyer send the maid back to the agency, technically helper is still under current eyer’s responsibilities with the Insurance cover, think they’ve to pay $20-25 per day upkeep of expenses for meals & lodging & Levy continuing up till 21 days. This does not limit the eyer fr taking amp replacement maid.

Within that 21 days, empymt agency will try quickly put her to ano eyer instead of buying airtic to send her home. This way, empymt agency earns ano round of commission fr next eyer. If the maid in waiting for transfer hv not found any interested eyer within the timeframe of 21 days, she’ll hv to leave Spore at the expenses of the last eyer.

The moment the helper found a new eyer to transfer, the new eyer takes over empyt, paying for new Insurance, Levy, etc. MOM records then shows end-date 1st eyer & start-date of 2nd eyer.

Hope this detail explanation is clear. Feel free to clarify when u need. I’m not nec the expert here.

I’ve a full time maid helping at my mum place by doing household chores. My children are teenagers and do not require much care from the maid. So everyday after lunch, the maid will get to rest /sleep between 1-4pm and at night after dinner, she can rest from around 8pm. My mum also complains that the maid is lazy and said other maids need to work till late at night before she can rest, which probably after 11pm. Is it really so? Are we being too lenient to the maid for letting her having so much rest time?

Sometimes when we have meals outside, we will give her money to buy her own food. Sometimes, for the food she ordered, she tasted not nice to her, she’ll not eat it and let it be thrown away. Isn’t it too wasteful? How to tackle such maid?

Oh i used to have a maid like this also, very picky about food. I was very worried when she keeps losing weight, keep wasting food and becomes very skinny. Everytime i ask her to just eat her food, she say she is not hungry.

Which agency did you get your maid from? What i did was i called my agency for help, my coordinator spoke to her and scolded her after that she became much better. Maybe you can try that too. If your agency do not want to help, you can try calling my agency the coordinator maybe they can help you talk to the maid. Mr Phng 8660 5975 (HP). You can say Sam wong referred me, hope he helps you. 😄 He is from Best Helper. Good and reliable! Hope this help you.

Hi all, quite new here but considering domestic helpers… heard that employers have to do a course before employing helper? Is this true - and how long does it take for this to be settled?
