Need your advice. Will be going for Sec 1 registration at HCI tomorrow. Must I buy books and uniform at the same time as my husband is not following me tomorrow. Also how many sets of uniforms should I buy. PE attire?

One more question. Will be taking train. Is it better to alight at Tan Kah Kee mrt station and which bus stop must I alight?

Yep, buy both books and uniform. Past years, I think they set up shop in the hall, and if I'm not wrong, the books are already pre-packaged together, so can just queue and collect.

Uniform needs to be worn Mon to Thurs, I managed with 3 sets. Even though PE is only once a week, probably need more for CCA and camps etc. so I'd recommending buying 2-3 sets for now, and topping up later on if needed.

Alighting at TKK is ok, take any bus two stops down the road, alight at \"Opp Natl JC\" (two stops), which is at Gate 3.
If circle line is more convenient, alighting at Botacs is also fine, take one of 66, 67, 151, 154, 170, 171 for 5 stops

May I know what SBGE means? Gifted students?

Saw this on the booklist.

May I also know what type and colour of school shoes are allowed in HCI?

SBGE is the School-based Gifted Education programme (i.e. those in iSpark consortium)

School shoes must be predominantly white, black or dark blue, no striking colours. I personally prefer black track shoes because comfortable, don't get dirty as easily and can play sports also

I know some who weren't GEP but still admitted to iSpark, but I'm not sure how it's allocated. In previous years, I heard those not from GEP but possibly allocated into iSpark will be notified and briefed on registration day
