Can I have an idea of how much the food and drinks cost in the canteen? Not sure how much pocket money to give my boy. Is $5/day enough for the first two weeks?

Food $2-$3, drink $1. Normally their pocket money is $5-$10/day.

Do the boys have to wear their formal school uniforms (shirts and trousers) to school on a daily basis, even when there is PE? Read somewhere that Friday can wear polo shirts, and parents need three sets of formal school uniforms. Hence a little confused as to the uniform arrangement.

On the RI junior investiture, does anyone know if it is taking place during the day, or in the evening? Two handouts state that it is during the day, while one states that it is at night. For a FTWM, it gets a little confusing too, as to whether I need to take leave (if it happens during the day), or I donโ€™t. ๐Ÿ™‚

            Thanks for sharing!

Uniform to school every Monday to Thursday,
              Uniform/polo tee+uniform shorts every Friday,
Uniform/house tee+pe shorts every Wednesday after school announcement, usually 2nd semester.
PE must be brought to school, change before pe lesson and change back after pe lesson.

Investiture is 7-9pm, better arrive early to get a seat closer to your kid, because you must be seated to take photo/video.

No worries. Thanks for guiding us! Btw, anyone knows do the boys need to bring any books on first day of school? I think no need, but DS feels very insecure and wants to bring some textbooks

But quite some boys like to bring textbooks even they know they don't need to, they just feel secure. First lesson of every subject confirm no need books, teachers will do the introduction. Those heavy books(science and maths) no need to bring to school for the whole year, literature and hmt are needed every lesson. Some lit teacher even will give conduct slip if you forget to bring the book. Of course the teacher will announce it first. Geography and history listen to teacher's instruction, sometimes need, sometimes not.

After they are assigned the lockers, they can put the books inside, no need carry everyday.
