Hi! Can any kind parents please share the P1 2018 Chinese spelling list? My friend’s kid is returning from overseas and will join the school next week. My friend heard the Chinese spelling is very tough so she would like to have a look to mentally prepare her gal. Thanks so much.

Anyone know from 2021 onwards, what is the Psle affliation AL points for O-level, going to be (no more T-score) ?
Is it 8 or 10 points ?
If 8 points for 4 subjects, means on average need to score AL2, per subject -

I was just thinking if Mrs Tan will disclose during the PTC a while agoAnyone know from 2021 onwards, what is the Psle affliation AL points for O-level, going to be (no more T-score) ?

Let's see if we can try, to work it out together.
a)
probably, the new Affliation AL COP is around or close to 12 points, thereabout
(estimated / guess only)
If 12 points (let's roughly estimate) -
means on average, each of the 4 subjects must score at least AL 3, or better
(because 12 divide by 4, equal to 3)
Reason ?
because working backwards, based on our current Affliation T-score (for O level track) which is 230 :-
means on average, per subject must score least 80 marks, or higher (better)
b)
As for the official Cut-off-point for O-level track for Non-affliates, ie. for Outside students from other primary schools joining our Secondary, what is our current, latest Cut-off-point ?
In some past years, it was 254.
Last year's (2018 PSLE, born 2006) batch was 253.
In order to attain 253, one need at least minimum 85 marks or higher, per subject.
And what is 85 marks equivalent to, under the new AL PSLE marking scheme ? It is AL 2.
(2 x 4 subjects) equal to 8 points.
Means to join O-level, roughly need minimum at least 8 points or better, for Non-affliated pupils from other outside primary schools, joining us. Note this work-out, is only a rough estimate only.
AL 1 : 90 and above
AL 2 : 85 to 89
AL 3 : 80 to 84
AL 4 : 75 to 79
AL 5 : 65 to 74

I think there is also another condition> there needs to be 20 seats or 20% (I cant remember which) that is set aside for non-affiliated pupils from outside (or something like that). Does that mean internally, if there are too many 10 pointers, it will become a "BALLOT" situation? Because there was also talks that if there are too many eg 6 pointers, all the 6 pointers will ballot also right? (Lucky draw by computer)
