        Hi,

Can I know what is DHS mobile phone policy?
        1. Are the students supposed to keep the phones with them all the time?
        2. Are the students allowed to keep the phones in the school bags?
        3. Are the students allowed to use the phones during school time?
        4. Do mobile phones have to be switched off during school time?
        Thanks in advance.

This year (2019), Dunman High admit in first batch of JAE students, after O-level results released. What is the possible likely Cut-off-point going to be ? 7 points ?

It's hard to guess as it is the first time and the intake is pretty small (around 70-80 if I remember correctly). You may want to check with the school during the Senior High Open House on 12-Jan.

According to my kid, they are not allowed to use the phone during class time or during assembly only. Their phone can be switched off or in silent mode. They can keep the phone with them or leave it in the bag (but advised to leave it in the bag). Otherwise, they can use the phone during recess or other area. From what she described, I guess the policy is not that strict.

no problem... but I must say this is what I heard from my kid... so not sure if it is official... You may want to check with your kid's form teacher next Friday during the Y1 PTM if you are a Y1 parent.

Wow. Seems like my son in Victoria school had it rough. He says phone must be turned off at all times on school premises. I couldn't believe it! Lol.

Basically, there are a few things:
                        1. Parents get to interact with the Form teachers of your child and the fellow parents of your child's classmate. You can ask any questions you may be concerning about, for example, promotion criteria, curriculum, etc.
                        2. Parents get to visit the various CCA exhibitions. You can interact with the students/teacher in-charge to have some idea about the CCA and this will help in your kid's CCA selection. But of course, this is irrelevant if your kid is a DSA student.

                        Hope this help.
