One good tip that was given to me by one teacher was to encourage our kid to write stories at home about the topic that he/she prefers the most. After that you can examine the child's work and highlight the mistakes and some tips for the future, also powered by adding couple vocabulary alternatives in case the kid is repeating the same words too many times.

Next time the kid should write another story but with the previous work presented to memorize the mistakes in order to make the new one better. After repeating this for many times, it can improve really a lot. It takes some time, patience and attention to detail, but definitely works.

If you are interested in helping your kid improve creative writing, here is one helpful article:

When I tried to help my son writing essays, I just surfed the Web in a search of some kind of list of expressions. For example, this is a very useful article on this topic: https://homework-lab.com/study-tips/transition-words-english-guide/ It will definitely help. Also you can check out their lessons. They help doing homework! So we like to use this service
