All About English Creative Writing

Hi any recommendations for creative writing holiday programmes for lower primary at the West area?

One good tip that was given to me by one teacher was to encourage our kid to write stories at home about the topic that he/she prefers the most. After that you can examine the child's work and highlight the mistakes and some tips for the future, also powered by adding couple vocabulary alternatives in case the kid is repeating the same words too many times.
Next time the kid should write another story but with the previous work presented to memorize the mistakes in order to make the new one better. After repeating this for many times, it can improve really a lot. It takes some time, patience and attention to detail, but definitely works.
If you are interested in helping your kid improve creative writing, here is one helpful article:

Update for those DM-ing me about city centre classes for 2019:
My location in city centre is Waterloo Centre (next to Bras Basah MRT)
I have finally put together a tentative schedule for 2019. If keen, please add me to WhatsApp 8 1 1 8 6 9 4 8 and inform me there with the following details: child’s name, level & school, class interested in.
We also have ongoing classes at my centre in Jurong west - DM me if keen and I will send a schedule.
Waterloo centre 2019 - Wednesday
P2 English: 3-4.30
P3/4 English: 5-6.30
P5/6 (English PSLE prep): 7-8.30 (last 3 spots)
at the moment, no p1 classes in Waterloo centre for 2019
We cover all exam components - compo, situational writing, strong focus on writing and functional writing using various works of literature, both fiction and non-fiction. You can have a glimpse of what we do at http://www.instagram.com/helloteachermel
All students receive individual attention for compo tips, our lessons are highly customised, no class is exactly alike. Feel free to call any time to discuss. -

When I tried to help my son writing essays, I just surfed the Web in a search of some kind of list of expressions. For example, this is a very useful article on this topic: https://homework-lab.com/study-tips/transition-words-english-guide/ It will definitely help. Also you can check out their lessons. They help doing homework! So we like to use this service

If you are staying in Jurong West, you may consider my dd1's ex-tutor, Miss Goh. She is very experienced, knows what areas to focus on and explains clearly. She can be contacted at 93989072.
