Yes. With the recent changes in the last 6 years, it appears that PRs have much more muted chances than before to get a local school. Of course if your kid is already in a bisexual school, it would be a breeze to get your 2nd child in the same school, but you must get through the first hurdle.

Staying in the Bukit Timah area is not ideal for PRs looking to get into a local school because even Singaporeans have to fight tooth and nail for the most popular schools there. Have you tried Bukit Timah Primary?

Thanks for your response - I will schedule a visit of Bukit Timah Primary. I've checked the ballot history and seems at 2C last year they were not 100% filled. But I'm not sure if that even means PRs >2KM gets a look in? Any ideas?

        Hi Chiefkiasu,

Would you know when will the balloting history page be updated with 2018 data? They really helps making a decision.
        TIA

          Hi,

We are currently staying in Woodlands and just got our BTO recently that will be completed around 2023 in Punggol. Can I use the new BTO address for P1 registration this year for my snake daughter (born in 2013)?

We are in dilemma now whether to send her to Woodlands Primary School which we are half way through our PV or send her directly to primary school in Punggol. If we can’t use the new BTO address, does this mean we have to rent a unit there first? What are the chance of success if we were to do a transfer in 2023 to schools in Punggol given there are more BTO or housing projects coming up? Schools that are within 1-2km to the new BTO are Oasis Primary, Punggol View Primary and Punggol Cove Primary. Those schools are rather new so we are not very sure how established they are by now.

Plan A: starts her P1 at Woodlands Primary School first and transfer to Punngol in 2023 when the new house is ready
Plan B: To start her P1 at Punngol directly (either using BTO address or rent a unit)

Would appreciate your advice and suggestion.

Are you sure you can schedule a visit? Have you asked them about this already? I am also keen to visit them...
For your information, I found they are not very flexible in visiting the school: last year Bukit Timah Primary even denied me from visiting their Open House.

              Hello - Marckr

I’ve dropped them a note and will follow up with a call. What was the reason for them denying you to visit during Open House?

                Hello

My girl will be going to P1 in next exercise ie for admission in 2020, she is 2013 born. We are SC within 1 Km of Temasek Primary. Just wanted to know her chances in 2C for Temasek Primary. Can anyone guide based on previous data? How was the balloting last year? Does anyone has the data?

Hi, my son will be going P1 for next intake. Any one know the chances in phrase 2A(2) for Chongfu ? Do they need balloting for student care in school ?

I know for Chongfu, phase 2B will need balloting, so far never heard alumni got went thru balloting.

For their after school care, the vacancies are quite limited.

The reason was that our son was 1 year before the registration exercise: they only allowed families that were taking part in P1 registration.
