Under AL PSLE scheme, it is also by merit.
So, all the 6 pointers should enter the Secondary school first, before the turn of other ( 7 or 8 or 9 or 10) pointers.
However, if only left last few seats remaining for 10 pointers, or if the Cut-off-point hover around, close to 10 points, then all the 10 pointers will ballot (be thrown together) , in a common pool. But, exactly by what kind of detailed selection criteria the computer will ballot and pick up lucky P6 candidates , perhaps Principal of St Nick ( Mrs Fiona Tan ) may wish to explain more in detail, to 2009-born pioneering batch of AL affected (impacted) P6 students, and their parents, how the computerised balloting built-in-program works, since this is a "burning" question, in most of us.
As for 20 percent compulsory seats reserved for outside pupils (Non-affliated students), it will start from this 2019 psle batch (born 2007), onwards. -
Hi
Am newly transferred into sngs p3 this year
May I know which are the HA classes for p3 2019??
Thank you for sharing -
starting from this year (2019) onwards, for whole school -
Form Teacher no longer going to insert that small A5 sized paper into our Report card ( SA1 / SA2) anymore, that showed the mean (average) per subject, for your own cohort level.
Up to 2018 last year, all cohort level still know, what's the mean (per subject), and also the highest score (upon 100), per subject . Parents were informed about this new change, during recent \"Parents Meet Tr\" session, inside classroom

anyone know what was our highest T-score, for PSLE (last year 2018 and 2017) batch ? Thank you

From my girl whose classmate scored 273 before HCL bonus point, in 2017. Not sure if there is any higher.

Upper primary
2019 February (P5 and P6) TA Term Assessment (Test) scope are out, under \"Announcement\", conducted after Chinese New Year.
https://chijstnicholasgirls.moe.edu.sg/primary/others/announcement
Up to 2018 P5 last year, during year-end prize award ceremony dated 15 November 2018, school still gave academic award, to Top 15 % level cohort.
But wef 2019, in line with MOE order (from the Top), no more award will be given to Top 15 % level cohort anymore, starting from this year onwards. This was mentioned inside \" P5 / P6 \" MTP (Meet the Parents) session, may refer to content of slides.
MOE had set the direction (order), to all primary and Secondary schools, from 2019 onwards.
https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/education/report-books-no-class-and-cohort-positions
Inside our Report card, from 2019 onwards, also won't disclose anymore, the mean (average) of level cohort, per subject (for English, Maths, Science, Normal Chinese, Higher Chinese) -

Thank you very much, Kimkar, for kind info.
230, is only the affliated T-score entry, into Secondary school (O-level track).
Anyone know, what was (were) the average T-score (mean), from (2018 / 2017 / 2016) most recent past three PSLE batches cohort ? Thank you. -
I remembered the mean was about 235 for 2017 cohort. It was not announced for 2018 cohort during PTC.

Thanks, @phtthp. When I was a kid, we were given any information we want and our parents could not be bothered finding out what is happening in school. There was an implicit trust in the school. Things have radically changed. MOE wants parents to be more engaged, and yet withhold more and more information from parents. Sigh.

While the data collected may be useful for statisticians and lawmakers to formulate policies, some of these information are, quite frankly, not useful for parents besides using them for comparison and one-upmanship. How is a school's overall statistics useful and / or have any bearing on an individual child's education / learning journey?
I think parents have to bear some of the blame, unfortunately.
