      Since you refer to 'AO', I'm going to tell you it's history already :rotflmao:

      You can't substitute H1 GP (or KI) with H1 MTL.
      If you refer to mommyNG points for UAS, 3H2 + 1H1 + GP + PW = 90 points (max).
      If you want to include H1 MTL, max UAS is 100 points (the above + H1 MTL). However, 100 points will be rebased to 90 points as the final score for university application.
      The university will take whichever is higher.

      Including a high scoring H1 MTL sounds great in principle but to MAKE a difference, you have to royally screwed up GP and ace your H1 MTL (even that may not make much of a difference).
      e.g. in your relative's results of GP - C, H1 MTL - A, the difference between including or excluding H1 MTL is only 1 to 2 points for her UAS. That's unlikely to make or break her application today.
      So for example, if 3H2 + 1 H1 content subject + PW all A, but GP ungraded = 0 and HMT is A = 10.
      1. 20 + 20 + 20 + 10 + 10 + 0 = 80 (out of 90). So UAS without HMT = 80
      2. 20 + 20 + 20 + 10 + 10 + 0 + 10 = 90 (out of 100), which will be rebased to 90/100*90 = 81. So UAS including HMT = 81

      The difference is only 1 point for UAS. Is my calculation correct?

        Yes. That is correct.

        Assuming a ABC/C + C + 😄
        UAS = 75 / 90
        With A in H1 MTL, UAS = 85 / 100 or 76.5 / 90
        Less than 2 points difference.

        Assuming a CCC/C + C + C (got course available?):
        UAS = 67.5 / 90
        With A in H1 MTL, UAS = 77.5 / 100 or 69.75
        Slightly more than 2 points difference.

              Do I stand a chance to get into jpjc?? Will my appeal be considered most favourably? Please help me!!

              😢 I got nett 11 for o’s but I kinda messed up with my jae choices so I didn’t get into any of the schools I had in my mind and was posted to yijc.

              I live in the west and yijc is not in my vicinity. The traveling time is 1h ++ and I am really desperate to appeal into other jc that is nearer to my house.

              I appealed to transfer to jpjc on the day of release of jc posting result and I think I was the 26th person to appeal.

              Jpjc’s cop is 15, which is higher than my raw l1r5 of 13 and nett of 11. However, jpjc was not one of my 12 choices. Hence, I’m really worried that I may not be able to make it.

              Will I still get into jc if my portfolio n l1r5 are good even though I didn’t place the school as one of the 12 choices??

              Thank you for reading and I really appreciate your help! 😄

                Whether or not need to pass GP depends on the Uni and faculty you are applying? For example, you won't expect to be eligible for Law if you fail GP....Don't think need to pass GP if going to Science or Engineering Faculty?

                Yes, happened to a relative (rjc). Everything was good but GP could not make it - so Medicine+Law out, entered Accountancy.

                My GP - C5. Not sure what happened there 😆
                Law is out. Med is out (didn't do triple science, couldn't make it even I tried).

                Luckily, manage to clear the Qualifying English Test and exempted from taking those dreaded extra English modules.

                P/S: Nowadays, exemption from QET seems easier:
                General Paper ('AO' Level GP) - B4 and above or
                General Paper (H1 Level GP) - C and above or
                Knowledge Inquiry (KI) - D and above

                    You just got to wait patiently for the movements to start taking place and by the time to JPJC, could even be up to Feb 12 as stated on their website. Chance could be high since you are much better than the COP unless JPJC does not want to consider you since you did not put it as any of the 12 choices.

                      Yup, there are flexible options these days. A relative entered Computer Engineering, decided that Accountancy was more of the interest & graduated with double degrees (in both).

                      Which Uni has such flexi n combination? Both are heavy courses. My com sci fren used to spent long hours in lab
