Doc say although colon scoping is 99% safe, it is not 100% risk free.
we are afraid of things which happen and they are beyond our control.lee_yl:
I’m scared cos a lot of things that could happen will no longer be within my control. What if the colon specialist’s hand is not steady, there is a (1%) chance he may rupture one’s colon wall. Or who knows, overdosed/allergy to sedation and never wake up after the procedure. :nailbite:
when I get a panic attack, lots of 'what ifs' pop up in my head.
the only thing we can do is pray...pray very hard that everything will go smoothly.
I hope you recover from your colon infection soon.
I left with 2 more days of antibiotics to complete and I can’t stand it anymore. My tongue has turned hairy white and numb, feeling nauseous and giddy all day. Like going thru pregnancy 1st semester
Ya, I guess I have to be more careful with my gut health from now onwards.
Stress and panic attack can cause your ezcema to flare up. You take care too. -

I don't know what to say to help you feel better. it's frustrating to have an infection, have antibiotics and face a colon scoping.
symptoms of 1st trimester pregnancy forgotten, but labour part and delivery room still makes me very scared. -
lee_yl, dun think too much. Yes scoping also carry risk. Get a good doctor. Check out the credential is normally the first pass. Anyway dun worry so much. After the review, talk to the doctor to arrange for a session with the dietician.

To clear the metallic taste on your tongue is either to suck minty sweet, stay hydrated or drink soups such as broth-based. It helps.
After your giddy spell is over, pls pls go for a brisk walk to make sure your colon is healthy. -
mum24h, salt water flush is to be done in the morning with an empty stomach. Most people will experienced rapid, bowel elimination within 1 to 2 hours. However if there is no flush occurs which means no watery bowel movements, this may mean that the person is extremely salt (sodium) deficient or has internal damage to the lining of the intestines, or has a great deal of toxic body burden. Do not be alarmed if no “flushing” action occurs the first time. Your cells have simply “sopped up” the much needed sodium. In this case, drink another quart of water and go on with your day. You might see something after a few tries.
I usually do once a week. Use good quality salt. 1 tablespoon of salt to 1 litre of water.
For the first time doing the salt water flush, must follow the following as a guide.
Ist week - salt flush once a day
2nd week - flush 3 times.
3rd week - flush 2 times.
4th week - flush one time.
Then once a week indefinitely. -

I don’t advise any kind of flushing if not done under doctor’s advice.
Whether salt water or others, if one is not healthy enough (like if with stomach / colon inflammation or ulcers without knowing, high blood or other unknown medical conditions), this flushing may aggravate the existing condition to even become fatal instead of helping.
Eating a balanced diet is still the main key to a healthier digesting system. -
yes, best to talk to the dietician with your known condition.
