Is this good results? Saw from the other link, most JCs got 85?

EJC consisted 3 of the very good IP Sec Schools students.
This 2018 cohort 75% are from these 3 schools as reported by news article.
      So EJC result...

        VJC-83.6

        DHS-84
        RVHS-83.8
        NJC-84.4

Not sure about the mean UAS of NYJC.
If you compare all these JC s EJC is taking baby steps this year. They had to start everything from scratch. Moreover,I heard that many students who stayed in and around Bishan,Newton & Stevens where the feeder schools are located were not able to travel to its temporary Site in Mt.Sinai for JC & Some of my DD’s seniors from one of the feeder schools got transferred to the nearby JCs like Hwa Chong & all just because of the distance.
If you take DHS,RVHS all of them are IP students if I am not wrong whereas EJC takes in students through JAE also.So I would say 82.4 is definitely good for first year with so many difficulties.
We will be able to gauge its real standard only when it moves to the permanent site.I am very hopeful that EJC will turn out to be one of the best JCs in the near future.

NJc 84.4 is median. Not mean.

I think EJC has performed well, for a school that is brand NEW and operates from a temporary site!!

No doubt it has 3 good feeder schools, but in reality, back then not many (including DD1’s P6 SCGS classmates) were willing to join the IP feeder schools to go EJC. Good ones still prefer to go RGS/NYGH (even now). Likewise for the O’level intake students, EJC’s COP is higher than VJC/NJC.

VJC’s mean UAS is 83.6 while NJC’s median UAS is 84.4 (meaning that its mean UAS should be 1-3 points lower) whereas EJC’s mean UAS of 82.4 is comparable!

Kudos to EJC’s inaugural batch for its credible performance despite the teething difficulties faced by being the newest kid on the block. :rahrah:

Was a little surprise at the result EJC achieved. My son was from Cat High IP & he got 86.25 with As for his 3 H2 subjects.

                Congrats to all EJC students.

I only know HCI hit 85 this year. Many other JCs got less. Many are 80 and below. Where you get the information that most JCs got 85? 😂

Any website link to see detailed results of Eunoia JC, by list of H1 to H3 subjects? Thanks.
