Maths C is not core and not compulsory. Those without A Maths and not in the science stream do not have to take that subject - instead they can do AO Maths (today’s equivalent of H1 Maths) as AO / A Maths / (H1) is the minimum requirement for courses like Business. I know because I was made to do AO Maths initially for the first 3 months (got a F9 for A Maths in Prelims :evil: ). If you have your sights set on a course in FASS, you don’t even have to do any Maths subjects.
F Maths is Further Maths.
H3 is the equivalent of the old S paper. -

If a kid got O level HMTL for A1. what is the contribution to A level final score ? I heard there is some contribution to it. but i could not find the detail info,. can someone share ? thank you -

In my mind our C maths stood for Core Maths (compulsory for all combis) = H2 now, and then F maths stood for Further Maths. I think it is also a H2 subject?
The \"C\" in Maths C doesn't mean \"Core\". It just means Syllabus C.
That's why Chief took Maths B because it was still Syllabus B during his time. -

Your RP +10/100*90
For example, if your RP is 80 and your HMT is A, u can add 10 points to your RP then divided by 100 times 90
80+10/100*90=81

There is no jc that is totally fun or totally boring. Nor is there a jc which every single student will have the same opinion about it. What we hear may not be reflective of that jc too unless one experiences it himself and his experience may differ from a fella schoolmate and both may draw different conclusions out of it. One man's meat is another man's poison.
I am sure MOE will provide adequate facilities to all the non-independent jcs and not favoring one over another. Any extra 'perks' will most probably be contributed by the jc's alumni or clan and it's something a student need not fuss over if his jc doesn't have them. He will be there for a mere 2 years and it's not his permanent abode.
What matters most is that the student has enjoyed and benefited from the program in his jc and has no regret choosing it.

Econs H1 and H2 is just a difference of case studies.
My son will be in JC1 next year.
he’s trying to get into Humanities Scholarship Programme.
Subject combinations :
Must :
English Lit
History H2.
Project for year1
Variables :
GP ( H1) / Knowledge Inquiry (H2)
Maths ( H1 or H2)
Econa ( H1 or H2)
Now, I’m worried and wondering, what subject combi should he take so not so xiong ?
Seems to me there must be four H2 and one H1, am I right ?
Someone please help and enlighten us here.
