All About Parent Volunteers (PV)

Help. No idea how to prepare the proposal for parent volunteer application. No specific skill to offer.
Everybody has some skills. Don’t put yourself down. As a parent with kids I’m sure you can find some way to relate to kids and engage them even eg storytelling or demo art & craft. Even if too shy you can help decorate the school or sew dance costumes, paint simple stage props for plays etc etc etc. -

We got accepted, praise the Lord.
They got back to us less than 1 week. The process of the interview was just about 10 mins and here are some of the questions they asked (based on my memory);
- why did we choose RGPS for our daughter
- what area can we contribute (both parent)
- our current job and flexibility in PV (time we have)
- questions on the proposal we submitted
Hope this helps! -

Given that there isn't any ballot for RGPS in Phase 2B, I think you are guarantee a place if you can clock the required hours. -
given a choice would you try for Nanyang/ Pei chun or Henry Park?

Given a choice, I’ll try for all 3.

It’s rarely your choice that matters; it’s whether the schools accept you as their choice (for PV). -
if the selection criteria is within 1km of the school,
one cannot have 3 addresses within 1km of all 3 schools.
