Yes. Soulmates are not easy to find in an urban jungle, everyone trying to up the game and plasticity. Young ppl (esp females) measure potentials with worldly yardsticks & overlook what is deep inside the heart.

Life is about faith, care, love, motivation & a lot of hard work to maintain. Without love, one can hv tons of money but no meaning to life and where there’s no love & someone to come home to & respond to your day’s experiences. There’ll not be much motivation towards a fruitful life - we work hard to maintain our family, ensure the kids are fed, hv clothes & education. Everything else is extra. Enuf is good. Sufficiency is good.

Money & material haves gives the illusion of well-being. What is impt is what lives within. To own a big house requires more maintenance. So, it’s either we busy ourselves maintaining our properties or nurture & maintain the people who live in any property with us. It’s either we hold on well & juggle the marbles of relationships or juggle the headaches of owning cars, properties or branded bags (corporate ladder for some).

Soulmates journey with us thro thick & thin. Anything purchased with money just give me doubts.

Usually, it’s not simple quarrel over money. There lied deeper issues of discipline with use of money, sharing costs (if both are working), not sharing costs (not see eye-to-Eye over spending on golf or Prada over paying for kid’s tuition or helper, etc). It’s deeper in fact bcoz either they align their values or insist in living their usual pattern brot over fr singlehood.

I hv lawyer frds who find a calling to handle divorce cases. It’s both stressful & satisfaction level can be high when succeeding to counsel couples towards reconciliation. He says, many times it involves pride and inability to communicate in a new context as they set up family.

My concern goes further bcoz young ppl are so addicted to hand-held devices. Lost touch with art of communication. Maybe that’s how couples end up feeling neglected?

I agree! For women, it’s not just about lust. More like what you described above.

Hubby ever told me he is worried if I enter corporate world, I will start to compare and will find him lacking (he knows he is not those affectionate type and he has no time for me). Plus I like to 自作多情, best cut me off from outside world. I am ok with it, in fact I find him very smart, knows how to do “preventive measures.” lol

我的前半生is very meaningful. The hubby cannot take the daily nonsense from the wife so he find the 小三 very attractive because they both work in the same office and find comfort in her. Interesting part is after he married the 小三 the same nonsense happens. So conclusion is couple usually will quarrel over the normal 菜米油盐. It doesn’t mean that once he married the 小三 life will be like fairy tale happily ever after

Oh, so this is similar to what I have watched 20years ago, HK comedy film 家有喜事（周星驰、吴君如 、黄百鸣）

The real life pressure over 柴米油盐 is very real. So the moral of the story is? Men should not mix wives and outside flings. He must be very clear what he wants.

The wife may be 黄脸婆, but she takes care of the household/kids well. An outside fling is just lust. When 小三 really becomes your wife, you get sh!t

Just joking lah, I am more interested to know how the wife gets over the Husband she once loved dearly.

As I watched this drama, I find similarities because we are SAHM. I asked myself what will I do if it happens to me ?

This drama is good for women to see how unexpected life can be and what happens if their DH really has EMA. Also good for the men to watch to know the consequences and how it can affect their children and EMA is not for everyone. Unless one can handle the consequences and not regret later.

In the show, the husband showed that he actually regretted the divorce after seeing another man falling in love with the ex wife and the ex wife becomes successful in her career but there is no turning back as really 破镜不能重圆
