Simplest option - Ngee Ann under Phase 2A2 (former student). Shift closer (preferably under 1km) to minimize headache and heartache for now and future (when school starts).Hi all, new to this forum, only kid is sg50 boy. Currently staying at Pasir Ris & have the more popular schs Gongshang/Poi Ching located <2km. H/w, considering new place arnd Katong area & Tanjong Katong/Tao Nan/Ngee Ann/St Stephen are <2km.
Hubs is ex student @ Ngee Ann but not alumni. How should I go about narrowing down my choices? We do prefer a co-ed sch in case my second is a bb gal. :thankyou:
Gungho option - for popular schools, e.g. Gongshang, Tao Nan, etc, you have got move within 1km (anything > 1km, you will be out) to have a balloting chance. Warning: You may still get ballot out after all that effort.
Nothing much to narrow down IMHO. -
Hello fellow alumni’s wife. There’s no need to join or pay for Ngee Ann alumni, just print out psle result slip enough. There’s also no need to stay <2km for alumni, confirm get in so you can stay put at your current place & save money.

Will be published by websites later in the year. But it looks something like this (2018)

Can’t find on MOE website because it isn’t there. You have to check with individual schools or use the link above. Not all schools organise Open House, and popular schools rarely hold one.

Ahh I see. By any chance does anyone have insights on the schs I mentioned? Like are they much more academically focused or more holistic or more chillax type? All insights appreciated.

Hi, new to this forum

Any recommend sch for Serangoon/Hougang area? Nearest sch will be Rosyth and Xin Min (<1km)... Keen to register Rosyth but will it be v challenge to get in? Thanks -
Hi everyone, glad to find this informative forum and I can ask questions. My hubby is a SC and we hv a sg50 boy. We r going to move back sg for him to go the primary sch. Looking for flats in Novena/Newton D11 area. Not sure if that area can apply for ACS primary and ACs junior and St Joseph? We do not fall in any category of alumni and religion. Does it mean the chance to get into those schools is very slim?
Btw, where I can find the list of schools that offer parent volunteer and how I can apply for it?
Many thanks in adv! -

SG50 is a baby boom year. Expect the competition to be as tough as Dragon year. But I bet all your friends have been telling you that. Yes your chance to get into these popular schools under phase 2C is slim. ACSJ and ACSP will require balloting for <1km. SJIJ <1km usually you can escape balloting but SG50 year who knows.

You are looking for HDB flats in Newton/Novena area? Or are you using “flats” like how the British call their private apartments? Because there are hardly any HDB flats in this area.
There is a list in KSP of schools that *dont* accept PVs. Maybe you can look at that first.
