Getting a diploma distinction from HCL is not an easy feat. If one assess the entry by the A level results, then I personally feel it’s not justifiable.
Except that 80%-90% of our university courses are entry by results 😂

That's what I am trying to find out. Was the NTU professor referring to perfect score of 90 Rank Points or was he actually referring to the AAA/A Cut-off point.
Sorry, I can't help, and not sure anyone here can since you haven't had a reply. But it's still worth trying. Things do change from year to year.

At least it's not 100% as in the past. I would expect that no university, especially large ones, can study each and every applicant so closely, and the bulk of students in the \"middle\" would get in simply based on results. At least they do consider some who may not fit the typical mould.

Their exams, including their prelim, were much tougher than the A Levels.

              Hi parents

Can someone explain the difference in these two courses:
              NUS - BBA(Accountancy)
              NTU - Bachelor of Accountancy

Are both courses similar? I always thought that the accountancy course was only offered by NTU.

My fren son enrolled accountancy in NTU over NUS cos NTU is 3 years study whereas NUS is 4 years. She said they are both the same. You can enquire more if her statement is true.

My DS received an invitation by NTU President for a High Tea session on 16 March.

The President will be delivering a speech and after that they will mingle and interact with NTU scholars and Senior Management.

                  Is this a scholarship exercise?

No. Don’t think it’s for scholarship. NTU is probably trying to lure your DS over :).

This is just a Tea session invitation sent to selected students which NTU hopes to 'recruit\". My DD in JC2 also got invited. Government agencies are also very active in sending out invitations for tea sessions now for talks on scholarship application. This week is MFA (Ministry of foreign affairs)
About REP as I saw your Qs in earlier post, my niece was accepted 2 years ago with all As but a B for GP (so no need 90rp), she didn't take up because she was successful in admitting to dentistry.
NTU recently shared some information on admission to their courses, they will consider to take in students with passion even though the student does not meet the admission criteria.
FYI, REP took in about 50+ students last year, out of which >60% were from HCI/RI.
So APPLY if your son is really interested. Good Luck!
