son is also a big eater. he loves rice. so what I do is buy brown rice and mix with white rice (too ex to eat only brown rice). this way, he won't be eating too much glucose. however he doesn't seem to put on weight.
DS simply ignore my advice to cut down on rice but I can understand at his age he is growing cannot stop him but he is going to be overweight soon. My cooking skills improved a lot after following many YouTube recipes and food bloggers. I have a few signature dishes which I am proud of it myself LOL
DD is small eater too but still gives face la finishes everything if I cook.
daughter is a small and fussy eater. -

usual soups are ABC either with pork ribs or chicken, sharks fin melon, old melon, corn soup & bak kut teh.
pork ribs red dates, winter melon, old cucumber, lotus, ABC are our staple soup too
chicken & raddish soup is nice with chicken feet
my kids outgrow meat ball le - only like home baked beef meat balls /ikea beef balls
I don't boil the soup too long as we will eat the meat.
we love chicken feet with peanut soup...lots of collagen. -
Hubby and kids love soups!!
I do use Jap dried scallops (or dried cuttlefish) so I don’t add salt or stock cubes anymore.
For ABC pork ribs soup, kids sometimes ask to put a packet of Bak Ku Teh spices. I rinse the bag of the BKT spices under running water for few seconds to wash away the salt before I put into my ABC soup.
For chicken raddish soup, the kids love it when I add a tablespoon of the low sodium organic MISO paste. I will also add some dried Jap kale (wakame seaweed?)
Add variety lah, else every day cook same stuff, very xian. -
Can try cooking bittergourd with ribs soup
-
star, will the soup taste bitter? Both dh an I love bittergourd but kids dont like…
lee yl, I m beginning to feel my kids not really open to wide variety of food as maybe eat home cooked food too much… miso, seaweed for cooking I bought and sadly expired few times over these few years…
too sweet/oily/fatty dont want…dd is worst one…not even abit of fats on meat…so you imagine my chopped charsiu or roast pork… -
