Hi, have some questions about SST as my daughter is sitting for PSLE this year.

        1. Does the school offer Higher MT? Specifically Higher malay? I would like my girl to continue with higher malay in sec school.
        2. Read through the SST website and it seems overly focused on math and sciences (which I understand). Is there space for students to do the humanities though? In general how is the curriculum like in SST?
        3. CCA policy: Many parents have written saying that robotics is hugely popular there. But how about the sports CCA? My daughter is in floorball and I would like her to continue with this CCA as I noticed that it is a CCA offered in SST. Is there like a dual policy CCA that students can opt for?

        Thank you πŸ™‚

          Hi

There is the open house coming up on 1 Jun. It will be good that you can visit SST and have all your doubts and questions answered.

But probably just to ease a bit of your anxiety,
yes, there is HMT offered in SST for Malay Language. Humanities are also offered and I think you probably have read quite a bit of the information from the website. And yes, there is Floorball CCA in SST. For dual CCA, highly unlikely due to the commitment level required for each of the CCA.
But do go for the Open House to understand more . 😊

                It is by DSA only.

You may wish to visit the SST website that provides u with the Admission process.

                    Hi parents

Can i check with you SST curriculum is preparing students to Olevel.
After the Olevel, their path would be to Ngee An polytechnic? Then NTU?
would the students has some kind of priority to NgeeAnnPoly and NTU?

                    Thanks in advanced

                      Hi

                      1. The students sit for the O level at the end of the 4th year in SST.
                      2. The students can continue their post secondary education in JC or Poly. And to further their studies in any of the local universities, it will depend on their results in JC or Poly.
                      3. Personally, I dont think there is a priority but the entry requirements for University and Poly largely depend on the student’s result.
                      4. Do go for the open house on 1 Jun to understand and find out more info.
