Hi all, may I confirm that once you have received the option form indicating that child has been successfully placed through DSA into a school and to report on 23 Dec for registration, no further actions - that is no need to submit any option during the S1 posting exercise right? So just keep that letter will do and report to school on 23 Dec?
You still need to submit the S1 form online. That's what I did for my child and she already has a CO from the school.

When you login, the only school you see is the DSA school which your child was successful.

Has anyone encountered your child’s performance has somewhat plateaued? My daughter seemingly has. Her scores from p5 SA2, p6 SA1 and p6 prelims are somehow quite similar. Difference between each subject is about 3 to 5 marks, sometimes up, sometimes down. Trying to break into A star is proving to be an uphill task. My wife says perhaps she reached the max but I’d like to think that she needs to continue to be more resilient and persevere. I really can’t fault my daughter’s effort cos she puts in the work so sometimes I sense a tinge of disappointment when the results are released.

Got a call from TK for CO for sports domain, very thankful :). Will be collecting the letter next week.

Waiting for another school's reply but TK is 1st choice.

I would choose IP without thinking twice, why? no need to struggle with O Level 😂
Actually, IP is not the be-all, end-all program. IP is good for those who have the academic ability and are sure that they want to remain in the school for 6 years.

O level still has its advantages. There are students who are academically very good but still would opt for the O levels because one's options remain pretty much open at the end of 4 years. In fact, an open choice at the end of 4 years is the O levels' main advantage over the IP.

I had similar thoughts when my child was in P3/P4 - that i would prefer her going for the IP route. But since her P5 last year, she hasn't made up her mind on taking A levels, IB or even poly route after the end of secondary school. Furthermore, the DSA domain which she is talented in wasn't offered by the IP school which she was interested in attending. So we opted to apply DSA to an O level school which we felt will offer her both academic and non-academic areas to excel.

My daughter said the last question for EL oral stunned her… seems that it had nothing to do with the poster which was about comp lab rules… she was asked about two dates which she would not forget. So she asked the examiner to repeat the question and the question was the same… quite strange.

Received a call today from TK sports trial next week… Last week, they told me they would inform parents by Friday 28 June, but in the end, they called today. So those who haven’t receive news from various schools, it should be out soon.

We’re still waiting for the outcome from another school.

Hi parents, quick question. Does participation in Australian Math Competition considered as part of school-based awards/achievements?
