Yes, I am reading thru his articles now.
This one in particular (directed at the importance of parental support) has some very good points and speaks to me personally:

Hi everyone,
Is there a transport service available that runs the sports school route across the island?
Many thanks. -
I don’t think so, you may want to check out grab and ryde - I know they have car pool for students but not sure about costs involved. Your child is not planning to stay in?

Hi Lukeysmummy,

A great experience. Normally you will need to be top 3. I got a few students in there. Need to work hard for it.

hi
any idea how many intake for track and field for Sec 1? -
Hi
I don’t think they cap the intake. As long as your kid shows aptitude and interest they will take in,
Only the top of the crop get scholarships so they need kids who will pay the full fees (estimated at 900 every 5 weeks for those with no subsidies )
In summary, just apply and will most likely get in, just depends on whether as a parent you are willing to fork out the fees should kid not able to get a scholarship.
I am just being completely honest here, my boy has been in spp for almost 9 months already. -
As long as they show aptitude and interest, they will get in? Even without any relevant competition experience in that sport?
I heard that NJC takes in DSA kids with “aptitude and interest” in the sport (as long as they pass some basic physical fitness trials). Don’t tell me SSP’s standard is as “relaxed” as NJC Sports?
