2019 P1 Registration Exercise for 2020 In-take

My daughter is entering P1 next year and we will register under Phase 2C. My daughter is Singaporean and we stay in Bedok and the following are our choices.

1. Temasek Primary- house bet 1-2km
2. Yu Neng- house bet 1-2km
3. Fengshan Primary- house bet 1-2km
4. Bedok Green Primary- house < 1km

Both TP and YN are oversubscribed based on stats. Would it be worth to try for these schools?

Also, if we register online and results was successful, when do we need to report to the school?

If both TP and YN are oversubscribed for < 1km, you are justing wasting your time and your application in Phase 2C. Your best hope for 1km-2km is only a ballot. Fengshan could be a safer bet but it is by no means guaranteed. You should wait and see, and apply to 1 of the 3 that gives you a chance.

Bedok Green can wait till Phase 2Cs.

PHASE 2B

(a) For a child whose parent has joined the primary school as a parent volunteer not later than 1 July 2017 and has given at least 40 hours of voluntary service to the school by 30 June 2018

(b) For a child whose parent is a member endorsed by the church / clan directly connected with the primary school

(c) For a child whose parent is endorsed as an active community leader

If your husband is a baptised Catholic endorsed by the church here, don't see why not.

He needs to have studied in the specific primary school you’re aiming for (SJI Junior, formerly called St Michael’s Primary), in order for him to qualify under Phase 2A for alumni.

Your husband must study in St Michael's School or SJI Junior as his primary school to qualify for phase 2A1 or Phase 2A2. Joining the Old Boy's for SJI (Secondary) has no privilege for enrolling in earlier phases.

Unless you/spouse/child are Catholics, or are GRLs, that would qualify you to be in Phase 2B. You will be in Phase 2C fighting tooth and nail with everyone.
