Good morning, parents! I’ve read the previous comments about the morning traffic but those are old postings. I’ll be driving and has already applied for the car label to go into the school to drop my kid off. I would like to find out from parents who drive, especially those who exit PIE-Whitley and come along SCGS towards the school, typically, how long is the wait time before you get into the school? I could also take the route via KK hospital and drop my kid off at Balmoral Plaza. Not sure which is the best option. Would appreciate it greatly if any parent could advise.

Dear all,
May I ask, is there any school openings at ACSP for parents to visit and take a look at the school campus? Anyone taken school bus to ACS? Thank you! -
According to previous posts, my understanding is that GEP students can opt for higher Chinese at primary 4. Is higher Chinese also offered to non-GEP students in primary 4 or even earlier? Are students streamed according to their Chinese proficiency? If so, which year does it take place? There is not much information in the school website. Thanks.

My P2 boy hates taking the school bus. From P1 till now, there has been numerous occasions where he felt unwell, or even threw up on the school bus. When we talked to him, he says he does not want to take the school bus. He complained that the boys in the bus shout and are very loud and noisy, the air con is too cold, and when the bus comes to a stop at red-light, the engine is very loud and vibrates and all these gives him a headache and nausea.
We have tried to help him by asking the bus uncle to let him sit in front next to driver, away from the noisy boys. If air-con too cold, bring a jacket or turn the vent away, take a lollipop to suck, put some vicks etc. But he still has nausea.
I have cajoled him, advised him and even scolded him for psychologically psyching himself up but his misery looks real. I don’t know how to help him. There is no direct bus back to our house. Grab is expensive for daily long term. My helper needs to fetch my other kids. Student Care cost is prohibitive and there’s no vacancy for now. I am at my wits end. -
Does your son only feel nauseous in the school bus or does he feel like that in other places? I ask bec it’s important to see whether he’s reacting to the conditions in the bus or bec of his feelings. He could also feel nauseous from low blood sugar or tiredness (e.g., if he’s had a long day or he didn’t get enough sleep). Also, is it possible that that something is happening on the bus that he wants to avoid but doesn’t specify, e.g. teasing or bullying? Finally, have you reached out to the school to help? They may be able to counsel him or speak to Student Care about a spot for him if you want to pursue that route.
