We were surprised to be blessed to find the right someone to take good care of our son. With the right choice, all things are possible. Speaking of Composition, his marks have improved significantly with their special writing style, not sure I should discuss that here. The teacher gave a breakdown of the A* grade and it was told he had to get 34/40 to achieve his goals. Hopefully he will continue to grow in wisdom. It is said one of the direcors is quite an elitist fellow and I do find him a bit full of himself. But do not forget that Samson was chosen to deliver the Jews.

      Don't understand your words so...

Anyhoo, its my belief 35 and above. Otherwise it isn't safe and a surprise in any other paper may go off track. Last year DD got her 37 finally. Edusave award also finally. This year somehow slipped a bit, 36. Very disappointing and it's the crucial year some more. Needs to pull up your socks, I told her. Have you noticed the vocab is getting harder and harder? How to make her remember so many good words? This is the hardest tuition she has ever been too!! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Donโ€™t get me wrong, I am incline to agree with you. Our son is a restless soul and it was hard enough pushing from low 23,24 to 30,31, it will be even harder pushing past that now. But we have faith. As for the Vocab, try typing up word lists for your child. It is a meaningful activity we do together as a family, better than watching TV which I find to be full of prideful, vain and individual characters. I find that one time in the vocab book provided is not enough and a second round of reinforcement is needed. Challenges are a blessing, do not shy from them. God Bless.

My kid is currently at TAS. I have a friend whose kid is also at Learning Point, but for Math so I don't really know about English for Learning Point. But I can comment on TAS. TAS has a structured way to teach English. For paper 2, for comprehension, they have techniques taught to help students understand the questions and what I like is they also avail the answer booklet to us parents and the answers come with explanations and the techniques.

For compo, I find they have a lot of materials and their methods of teaching do not stay stagnant. Recently the teacher began to show videos in class to give ideas of compo topics and some of the ideas are very fresh. They also have a 4 stage process of teaching, can go for trial to know more.

Hi, anyone has feedback or review on LCentral? Im considering of enrolling my child who will be in pr 1 nx yr. TIA.
I maybe late. But just saw your comment.
L central lift off learn to read program is very good for K1/K2 kids to start off before Primary 1. The child will be able to decode and read on their on. My son was in Lcentral for 3 years from N2 to early P1. now my #2 started last year Jul from launchpad class. The liftoff class also teach on comprehension skill, reading skill which will be helpful for P1 next time.

So many tuition centres pushing out intensive courses from now till PSLE. All not cheap, usually $100+ per lesson. This Year happen to have the Long weekend during National Day to Hari Raya, just before psle oral, so many opportunties to have extra practice lessons at some of these centres. I guess most parents will think last lap liao, donโ€™t mind spending a bit more money, since after oct, at Least got 3 months can go totally tuition free.
