Seems like the Day 1 English Oral topic was similar to last year's Day 2 Chinese Oral topic.

RE: Hundreds sign up for tuition centre mock exams costing up to S$130, after scrapping of all mid-year school exams
If I have a p6 child taking PSLE this year, I will sign up for these mock tests too. This is the batch whereby mid year exams were scrapped and they had little exam practice starting from P5. My child had such mock test for one of the subjects and I thought it was an experience. The setting was like actual exams and parents waited anxiously outside the auditorium for their children to finish paper. Center later also provided stats on how your child performed vs the cohort. Guess this is what most parents were hoping to know so that they have a gauge of their child prior to actual exam. But if we can have the mid years back, actually in my opinion, such mock tests are bonus but not necessary.

RE: Dental Braces
Hi,
I am also looking for an orthodontist. I saw earlier posts about Dr Tan from Embrace Dental. Not sure if anyone been there recently and any feedback? I find that his cost (on his website) for both metal and Invisalign are very competitive. I was quoted by a popular Orthodontist near Holland. Price is $2k more for each type of braces. Though we have seen current orthodontist for 2 yrs and finally get green light to start wearing braces, I find that the price is quite expensive compared to others. And child also don’t seem to mind to change orthodontist we can do Invisalign at the same price as metal ones at Embrace. -

RE: * Hwa Chong Institution (HCI) - College
Hi,
Any child has taken the H3 Econs - Game Theory offered by SMU? I understand that the exam for this H3 is in April instead of in Dec. Commitment seems to be once a week at SMU. Can I also check if this H3 subj be recognised by overseas Unis since this is not offered by Cambridge? Thanks. -
RE: Methodist Girls' School (Secondary)
Hi,
I am exploring MGS IP(IB) for my child who is doing PSLE this year. I will like to hear from parents their children experience in this school and this program. Is the program good and if child is enjoying it? I also know that MGS has a SBA program for O level track. If IP(IB) program is good, I might even consider applying for O level track. Thanks. -

Agree with Zeal mummy. The only centre that follows the sequence of topics taught in school is only TLL (as far as I know). TLL group students into clusters based on sch. But this also means that you have lesser slots/options to choose if you want to follow strictly the grouping.
Hi Data, there isn’t a fixed schedule to do a specific topic for science in our primary schools. The primary schools are free to decide which topic to teach first. As such, all the schools could be doing different topics at any given time.[/quote]
