For those who have no choice but have to consider a further away school, you can check with the school bus service for more info on timing/cost.

My child’s sch is approx 12km away, but reached home 15-20mins earlier then a neighbour’s child sch bus which that sch is just approx 5km away. Reason being that the nearer school’s sch bus has to make more rounds ferrying around the estate. Hence, does not mean that nearer school you will reach home earlier if you are taking sch bus. However of coz the further away sch’s bus fare is more ex. So it depends whether "cost" or "time" saving is a factor in your decision.

CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls’ School 20

Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary School 24

        Red Swastika School 29

        Rosyth School 23

These numbers might still change due to people opting out. -amended, missed out 2 schools earlier

Phase2A(2) numbers are out. There are a few schools came under 30 to my surprise or did i missed them earlier?

Saw the numbers too. So these are final numbers considering any withdrawals, or can Phase 1 and 2A1 parents still withdraw?

Thanks all for the insight re CHIJs too. :snuggles:
Don't really understand... withdrawal should result in an increase in remaining places and not a decrease right?

With all due respect, you had an easier path which you chose not to take.
If you have signed up for the alumni membership, you will be eligible for Phase 2A1 and none of these headaches :siam:

I wished I could join alumni for rosyth. My case is 2A2 is older siblings who is no longer studying in that sch.

Oh. Then no choice, you have to pray and hope. If you get a chance, that’s good. Otherwise, go for St Gab or wait
for Phase 2C and ballot for NCPS.
Thank you ! Wish me luck bah ! :xedfingers: :rahrah:

Hi parents, anyone has any idea or feedback on how CHIJ our lady of good counsel is like? I’m considering of sending my girl there. But not sure of how the environment and teachers are like over there. Advice is greatly appreciated. Thank u!

                  Hello everyone,

I will be registering my eldest girl for phase 2C. Was looking if I should take the risk and ballot for NYPS or take the safer bet and go for RGPS. Looking at past and current statistics for NYPS, looks like RGPS seems like a safer choice. I’m within 1km for both schools.

I’m currently doing parent volunteer for NYPS for year 2020 p1 registration so my youngest Son can go in under the sibling phase in year 2021. Unfortunately we missed the PV application deadline for my eldest which put us in a dilemma as it would be best if all the 3 attend the same school.

                  Thank you! 🙂

                    https://balloting.xyz/

                    Happy balloting!

Thank you Sprout. What does the green colors numbers mean at the bottom of each cell? Thanks for clarifying.

They are the differences between the number of Vacancies (or Applicants) in 2019 and as in 2018. For example, Ai Tong has 30 less total vacancies but gains 39 more vacancies for Phase 2A2, because it received less applicants at Phase 1 and Phase 2A1(44 and 25 respectively).

Green - good for this year
Red - bad for this year

The grey-out approximated numbers are the number of applicants in 2018 at the indicated stage.

You might want to standby at the last day afternoon at NYPS to see if applicants <1km is too overwhelming. Then decide if the odds are good for you to ballot, or rush over to RGPS to get a confirmed spot under 1km

If u apply at 2C (any school) but do not get in, then u have to apply at 2CS (it’s not automatic). If still do not get your 2CS school, then MOE will allocate you another nearby school before Phase 3 starts for the foreigners.

I do not know anything about chances for SCGS.
SCGS most probably 1-2km ballot if luck is with you. Better to get the stats on the last day afternoon if chances are good. If not, get a confirmed place at RGPS <1km
