My question is, is the last point compulsory? Has anyone encountered the school taking in potential sportsmen who were not from JSA?

My son has none of the above... but he went for trials and made it. I guess it really depends on the performance of your son for the try outs, academic results and lastly, the interview.

For VS, it's a group of 6 students being interviewed by a panel of 6 (principal/VP/HOD etc)

The group interview (VS)

How do VS conduct the DSA group interview, for 6 students ?

Is it go round the group, pose question to each student, one by one, wait for their turn patiently to answer, so that everyone inside the group get a fair, equal chance to answer, including the shy (reserved) ones ?

Or is it throw one question to the entire group, & whoever is the first one stood up quickly to reply (answer), gets noticed first ?

My DS was saying the same question was posed to each student and they can decide who to answer first. End of the day, each student need to take turn to answer the same question.


After the Q&A, there’s a mini Maths strategy game and each of them got to analyse and explain their answer to the panel of interviewers.
