I intend to buy a voice plan when I arrive at the local airport (will just ask shop assistant for recommendations), cos the voice plans I've researched are not attractive. Otherwise, will stick to the old fashioned public phone (~10-30yen per minute)... Get to collect telephone cards at the end of it. Haha.[/quote]

btw, for those parents that don’t mind very slow internet (200kbps) , i have a subscription to a data line in Japan.

can borrow from me for free. Only for those trustworthy parents.

I like to use my mobile to access the internet, they have sim cards that allow for internet access via the cellular phone network. But I only used it one time..
