Rosyth never had to ballot for 2A in the past, so it certainly sort of caught by surprise. If we are talking about ACSP, SNGS etc, then yes, it is a must to be in 2A(1).
Sorry to say this, but if it's own school, then you have only got yourselves to blame for not joining the alumni association.floppy\" post_id=\"1920863\" time=\"1563506368\" user_id=\"97579:

sorry to hear that, we all hate this feeling of not even able to be back in own school. get yourself together for Plan 2C. you might need to go through another , if not 2 more ballots.
That said, I do have some sympathy for parents whose older child(ren) had graduated from the school earlier, thus, can't use Phase 1 option.
Having said that, it is already illogical just to pay to join Alumni by not doing anything much and just for the sake of 2A(1), those in 2A(2) should get the sympathy even if they failed to plan ahead (for whatever reasons). MOE already made it so competitve, we should not be too negative about it.[/quote]true.. frankly rosyth was our plan B. didnt know much of the alumni thingy. and now no way i can get in through 2C given my home distance.
hhmm.. is there by a long shot.. any way to appeal the results in 2A2? -

For @kaifigo now, You need to move forward and start looking for alternatives in 2B/C.
When a door closes, another one will open..
All the best. -
yea… thanks all for the input.

I’m in a dilemma. I have secured a spot for my girl in phase 2a1 for Nan Chiau. However, the school is too far for us. Our other option is to go for haig girls under 2c, of which, we are outside of 2km. Will my girl stand a chance for haig girls? I know NaN chiau is like a coveted school. Seems quite silly for us to give up the spot for a gamble.

It’s really crazy to give up Nan Chiau. And >2km for HGS also hard.

HGS and CHIJ katong are in close proximity to each other and parents with girls are split. I feel competition may be less intense. Maybe can monitor both schools and see which gives you better odds. For all you know, one of them may not even have balloting. -

Hi,
What’s the high chance of a SC >2km applying in Phase 2C, for RGPS?
Thank you.
