Compassvale Primary is likely to be ballot for PR < 1km. If you are > 1km, you will have no chance.
Seng Kang Primary should be ok.
Getting in without balloting should be your primary concern, anything else is secondary. -

Thanks for the advice, Guru!
We stayed <1km from Compassvale Pri, SengKang Pri, Rivervale Pri.
Is Compassvale Pri so much better than SengKang Pri where ballot is required? Or because the school are relatively smaller, so seats allocated is lesser? Please advise. Thanks! -

Of the remaining 2, Compassvale Pri is likely to ballot for PR < 1km. You will have to monitor that you indeed have a chance to ballot, preferably register only on day 3 when most of the dust has settled. SengKang Pri no ballot - hence, that could be your contingency in Phase 2C if Compassvale Pri no chance for you, or Phase 2Cs if you are balloted out of Compassvale Pri. -

May I ask why preferably register only on day 3? What is the meaning of ‘when most of the dust has settled’? Sorry guru, i’m new to education system here, so i always thought that the earliest to register the better. Haha..
Please advice. -

Please advice.
This is not first come first serve. Later PR < 1km no chance you will have to withdraw and register again. Do it on the last day when the coast is clear, when you are sure that you are through or at least there’s a balloting chance before you register. -

How do we know whether there is chance of balloting?
If the no. of applicant > no. of available seat = closed shop rite? -

If the no. of applicant > no. of available seat = closed shop rite?
Not so simple.
What if all those applicants are PR > 2km? The only way to find out is go to the school and ask.
