Which is safer for SC in phase 2C? River Valley Pri within 1km / Alexandra Pri for 1-2km? The next nearest school is just outside of the 2km range.

for Odds, go for RVPS. MOE cut 30 places, so its close to having a ballot within 1km but odds should be fairly good.
APS need balloting within 1km, even there is balloting for 1-2km the odds is most probably worse off than RVPS <1km.

SC within 1 km of SCGS. Also within 1-2 km of St Margaret’s and 1-2 km of Farrer park primary.

37 slots now available for 2C under SCGS (had been hoping for a higher vacancy).

What are my chances for SCGS? Have been looking over data etc so was hoping for kind soul’s views.

Looking at the MOE website, Maris Stella got good chance this year for 2B. Balloting maybe for PRs but I may be wrong. Anyone can confirm?

SJI looks like balloting >2km. Numbers unknown.

Waiting for moe to cfm but likely all SCs in, no place for PRs

For SCGS expect around 1.5 applicants per vacancy. Know your risk profile.
1-2km SMPS is sure in

Always have a backup choice and exercise it when you cannot bear with the risk. and the Risk need to be assessed and agreed by both parents.

I have parents with risk profile of 5:1 and also others that feel like killing themselves with 30/31 odds.

this is a tricky situation.

traditionally South view need ballot within 1km with a 2:1 odd

CCK primary usually need balloting within 1km. you really need to monitor the numbers. how many within 1km applied and how many left for 1-2km folks etc.

so if you enter south view, sure a balloting chance.
CCK sometimes will be filled up with 1km folks, sometimes all SC will get through, so need to watch like a hawk.
