for prelim/psle prep now..kids now mostly doing prelim papers ? how much work is the target for weekdays/weekends? I got to really write down on what dd got to do in a day/wk lor..

No idea but go for quality rather than quantity? I spent quite some time revising/teaching/reinforcing science concepts and answering techniques every weekend I remembered. Maths my gals were very strong so only gave very challenging recycled questions from sch. HCL/CL I outsourced. EL- I extracted vocabulary/compre close/synthesis for them to practise. Rest of time, they still go for their dance or other enrichment classes. It’s manageable.

dd been studying on her own, in her room with a headphone listening to music..I should say 90% of her time is looking at the laptop.. I m not strict enough laptop always back to her.. yesterday I saw her on Ma online .. like game earning points so I told her today I will do up timetable lor haiz...

our hcl/cl I fully dependent on teacher/tutor. Ma on her own. Eng I bought the little package fm lilxxx and she has tuition. It is the Sci I m more worried ... I always think err..better to read revision books (need?) or just do papers..

For Chinese oral, does yr school still ask the question : \" 请你谈一谈你在录像中看到什么？“

I noticed for mine, this question no longer being asked during the 2 most recent orals. Does it mean PSLE
oral not required to list out the things / events happening during the video?

There will definitely be 1 question (1st one) pertaining to the content of the video. The other 2 are personal experience related and opinion/view/suggestion. In addition to these, there will be 转向问题.

Unlike previous version (i.e. on paper) where there'll be full narration of the picture's content, this content related question can be asked in various ways
- point out the wrong/right action in the video 谈一谈影片中错误/正确的行为
- share what caught your attention most in the video 分享影片中最吸引你/引起你注意的事
- how do you feel when 当你看到...你有什么感受
- talk about the character's behaviour 谈一谈影片中（那名男生）的行为
etc.

Can you all share whens the Prelim Oral for your sch and exchange topics been tested here after that...then we can revise it with kids haha...my sch starts 30Jul-2Aug. 2days Oral 2 days Listening....

Asking cos the oral book I bought to practise with my dd at home always starts with the same question on what do u see in the video ? and my dd came home and told me twice, the Sch doesn't pose questions in such manner.

Hi, like to have a general check how other schools drill their P6 students for their psle.

My child starts school as early as 7.10am for an early self study session thou not compulsory but then sometimes the teachers do go thru some work during this session. After that is the normal school hours till 2.10pm. Then they have 1.5 hours supplementary for each subject from Monday to Thursday. By the time they reach home is 4pm+,with 1 to 3
homework to complete, sometime to hand in the next day, sometime 2 days.
Is the above normal for P6 students in other schools?

No this is not normal. It used to be but ever since MOE stepped in to de-emphasis results few years back, this was no longer carried out.
