Hi, like to have a general check how other schools drill their P6 students for their psle.
My child starts school as early as 7.10am for an early self study session thou not compulsory but then sometimes the teachers do go thru some work during this session. After that is the normal school hours till 2.10pm. Then they have 1.5 hours supplementary for each subject from Monday to Thursday. By the time they reach home is 4pm+,with 1 to 3
homework to complete, sometime to hand in the next day, sometime 2 days.
Is the above normal for P6 students in other schools?

RE: Edgefield Secondary School
Hi melloh88
Just went to the school this afternoon, overall good impression on the school and the student leader that bring us around the school. She has a good knowledge and explanation of the questions we asked. -

RE: Punggol Green Primary
Hi all, my girl is currently in pgps p1, will be moving up to p2 next year after their final assessment this October. Time flies, with slightly hiccups in the early year, now my girl enjoys going to school everyday. They just celebrated children’s day yesterday, she came home telling me excitely about the celebration and mentioned feeling sad as she is going to miss her form teacher for 4 days. That is such a sweet and nice feeling! We are glad that our girl enjoys this new school. Glad to have the current form teacher who is very caring, motivating and supporting.

Hi Ahnetsan,
PGPS is a new neighbourhood school with only P1 & P2 students this year. I would say my girl enjoys the lessons in class so far and the teachers are supportive and caring too! -

Hi NewPSparent,
Yes, quite a big group for P1 as they were split into 2 groups. But think they are more settled now. -

Hi Newsparents,
Glad to know you.
My daughter is still adjusting to the primary school system and she is also in the school student care, she seems to like the student care more than the school. -
RE: All About Piano Lesson Costs
ariel143:
Hi saw your recommendation on the piano teacher in kiasu forum...would like to ask a few qts..I need swimming instructors recommendations but i have piano teacher to recommend!
I send my kid to private piano teacher (Really cheap rates, way below market rate. Plus she is really good with my 6 YO daughter).
Can share with you her number: 90280550. But if you want to know more details (such as how she teaches both me and my daughter, you can always PM me if paiseh to ask her).
I never believed in music schools.. sent my kid there and realised they dont develop her potential fast (can earn money mah) and strict curriculum, regardless of kid's learning pace.
1. Where is the place the lesson is conducted?
2. Does she go to the student home to conduct lessons?
3. Does she teach on weekends?
4. How is her fees like for beginners and grade 4? Eg. Duration per lesson per month.
Hope to hear from you. -

Hi,
We have just moved to Punggol Emerald two weeks ago and got our younger girl in P1 in PGPS this year.
Would like to find a buddy for my girl who can walk to school together to overcome her phobia from going to school.
Pls pm me.
Thank you.
