      Dear all.
I stay near Horizon primary school but my first choice is Mee Toh (within 1km). I'm not sure if I'm risking my child's chance to go HPS in the event I'm outta Mee Toh's ballot. Any advice please.
      Thanks
Both probably balloting <1km. Find another backup at 2CS

Punggol Green should be hot balloting <1km. Probably Horizon has more chances as TUR still low.

punggol green - one of the school that got cut the most places for intake. from 320 to 250. the applicants number so far is just 3 less than last year. If people never look properly, close eyes and just apply, very chaotic.

The new school valour need to take some heat off the others.

Punggol cove, punggol view, waterway all seems to heading to ballot this year. with the density in the estate, everyone seems to stay near.

Punggol Green should be a nightmare for parents who are aiming for this school this year.
Phase 2C is likely to start with 47 vacancies, the lowest of all schools in Punggol (even fewer places available than Mee Toh :scared: ).
Punggol Green should draw the biggest fire, followed by Mee Toh, and hopefully, the rest will even themselves out.[/quote]Thanks all for your input!

Thank you! I guess that's the only way. Just hoping that the school won't be too far away.

Hi, I’m a SC <1km to NCPS. Am considering whether to go for CHIJ OLGC >2km under 2C as it is the nearest sch with affiliation and i note there was no balloting/over subscription for past years. Or should I forgo since it’s quite a distance from my home and go for NCPS <1km with balloting risk and put PCPS as backup cos I’ll be moving to punggol in future. I have considered going straight for PCPS >2km under 2C. But I fear balloting risk for PCPS this yr as the vac of 122 is way lower than last year’s 223 (181 taken in 2C). Have a younger kid of diff gender. Would greatly appreciate your insights please. Thank you!

PCPS probably can get in with high chance. NCPS is not for the risk adverse. And since moving to Punggol, it’s better to go near in future with 2 kids of different gender. If OLGC means pair with St. Gab if don’t mind the distance, or consider OLN

Don’t quite understand. If you fear balloting risk for Punggol Cove, how can it served as a back up? It has to be 2C or something else.

Also, there’s a minimum 30 months no-move period if you successfully ballot into NCPS. That will also determine whether NCPS is even a possibility.

                  Good morning mommies and daddies

Do you know if 2C number of applicants will be updated on MOE website Everyday 11pm as well? I don’t see the update for yesterday first day of 2C registration
Is it the best way to know the number of applicants and split among the distance is to check at shoot board physically on the last day of 2C registration, ie 1 Aug?

Yesterday was the first day of online registration. MOE does not update their website on the first day. Take note this is the case for 2CS online registration first day too.

Yes check with the school for the distance breakdown.

Lol “I do not claim to represent MOE in any way, even if it may seem so. I also disclaim any obsoletion in my advice should MOE decide to change its practice next year”.

Now do I sound like lawyer? :rotflmao:
