Hi,


Would like to ballot for Tao Nan for SC within 1 km and the backup plan would be either Haig Girl or CHIJ Katong. Any idea which one is better academicwise ( we don’t care about the religion).

Juz to share the status of Poi Ching in Tampines.

Called to school and asked, the current applicant number is 134 for Singapore Citizen within 1KM. The available vacancy only 115. So mostly need balloting.

Visited Nan Chiau today and was told the School is calling applicants outside 1km radius to withdraw since no chance of ballot and turning away those who walk in. So can safely assume most if not all applicants are within 1km.


Based on yesterday’s status, chance is likely 1 in 4 or less for even those within 1km.

If I say A is better than B, but A has to ballot in Phase 2CS and B is a shoo-in, what’s the point?

Your only option in Phase 2CS is don’t care about religion AND don’t care which one is better academic wise, only care which one you can get into without ballot.

It shld be every year is crazy. Smart parents will go other schools to secure 2C school.

Tanjong Katong PS was in our backup plan as it showed good opportunity during P2C, but now… 101 application vs. 95 vacancies…

i am planning to apply for southview at P2C. However, as i back wanted to find out if Unity PS will be available for P2CS or balloting will be required in that phase too if not chosen now.

Wah, so fast all. My first choice is St Hilda’s, but looks like chances is Low, so most probably I will try Poi Ching.
