Far but not if you are staying on the other side of the expressway, over at McNair, Little India or Boon Keng. 1km is a radius.

Those staying at Whampoa are basically a captive audience. You have no real alternatives and no where to run to. Your only option is to ballot at HWS.

Thus, when you have one group with no where else to go, and another group who is happy to join in because their alternative is the same place they would have gone anyway if they have lost the ballot, you end up in this situation.

aiya, if kids in JB can wakeup at 4am to commute to woodlands to study and make it home everyday and still excel in their studies, who am i or my dd to complain? Mind over matter..both parents and kids need to adjust to the new situtation. Sleeping earlier, and less play time. Eventually it will become the norm.

I just called up Holy Innocents' final numbers are 72 for 47seats. All SC within 1km.

How can this be? All 72 applicants in 2C are ALL SC <1km? Not even a single one in 1-2km or >2km??

Doesn't seem right.

Coven, they call ppl to withdraw if no chance ballot. This was happen last year also.

Does it means my daughter has no chance to enter this school anymore? Also, i would appreciate if kiasuparents can give me some advice on the following schools, which one is better?

1. North Spring Primary School
2. Seng Kang Primary School
3. Springdale Primary School

Only 1 and 2 have more vacancies.

SMPS is 1 of those schools which refused to disclose anything regarding the number of applicants. I kept asking (very politely) and even tried and asked in other ways eg percentage of vacancies left or is your registration area very crowded but the admin lady refused to say anything. Just tell me to come and apply . Imagine the frustration of parents who are playing musical chairs with RGPS...
