      Hi Barbie,

You can PV for more than one school, so it is not necessary to withdraw your PV application from Red Swastika.

However, you'd better give Gongshang a call fast to see if you can still apply to be PV. Your 2005 child needs to register for P1 next year, so your duty cycle is from July 2010 to June 2011. It's very likely the school has closed their PV application.

      Good luck!
      Hi Big Devil

      Thank you for your suggestion
I will call and check Gongshang for PV

        Hi ChiefKiasu,

I had in mind to attack the following Primary School.

        (i) Fairfield Methodist Primary. (Distance 4.5Km Away)
(ii) Radin Mas Primary (Distance 1.5Km Away)

Should I do volunteer service on both school? I consider Fairfield as there is a after school care centre just in the vicinity of the school & most important is a single session.

Great mind thinks alike leh....I'm also thinking of these schools but is 2 yrs later of you.

        Where your kid study now?

For St Hilda's, I believe they will cut classes for 2012 in take since they are aiming to go for single session, so 2012 seats are ard 240 or 210 seats. They are cutting 1 class for 2011 intake (from 300 to 270 seats) this year.

For Gong Shang - you would need to submit your PV form as soon as possible, as for St Anthony's Cannosian - so far understand no PV is required (however I might be wrong since the HOT HOT schools are cutting classes, so the next HOT school might be HOT soon)

@jenybc: tks for ur feedback. yes, st hilda's will be cutting back the number of classes as they move into single session, which is also ideal for us actually, being working parents and also good for the kids. and of cos, being a co-ed sch, my 2nd child will benefit from that when it is his turn to enrol.

i thinking of trying my luck at phase 2C for both st hilda's and st anthony's but have reservation whether i should even try st hilda's at all...

Radin Mas is probably the most popular school in that neighbourhood.

So far so good about Radin Mas Primary. I think one of the better performance school in Bt Merah Area. Other than that CHIJ (Kellock), River Valley are also comparable to Radin Mas Primary I think.

This may be a dummy question but I’m going to ask anyway, do both parents get to volunteer as PV under 1 application or just one?

Hi... I'm new to this... wrt PV, I'm traveling oversea 50% of the time for work and wonder if I'm allowed to combined with my wife to clock 40+hrs?

Not all schools allow this. I know of a school which asked u to decide whether u want daddy or mummy to do the PV? Once u decide, only the daddy or mummy can do the PV, cannot combine.

                        But other schools allow combination...
