For psle oral groups assigned, any idea how many students per group?

For DD’s school, 15 per group for English and 10 per group for Chinese.

      :thankyou:

That should be just a component of the overall ? So still depends on the rest I believe..

think what patlsy79 is trying to ask is, in order to get A* for English, for each component :

            - what minimum marks to get, for Oral ?

            - what minimum marks to get, for Composition (upon 40) ?

            - what minimum marks to get, for English Paper 2 ?

            - must get full marks for listening comprehension (upon 20)

Weightage for PSLE. What I want to know is...what is the mark we need to score for each component to make up to 91 A*. And some of my friends told me. Some time A* is above 86 or so, depend the bell curve. Is this true...?

                Oral - 25% (50 marks)
                LC - 10% (20 marks)
                Paper 1 - 20% (40 marks)
                Paper 2 - 45% (90 marks)

to me … marks gained from each component may be lopsided maybe due to own foundation/mistakes etc…sometimes one or more components can help to bring up the weaker ones and vice versa… A+ or not, I guess it is the t score more important as entry to schools will be based on that…last time I will see/think A is good already but then A also got high and low…that’s why been reading from ksp in earlier years…has qns of eg why I have more As but tscore is lower lor…

but can target on each component mah…my side I think very difficult de…

                      Oral 45/50
                      Compo 34/40
                      Paper 2 83/90
                      LC 20/20
