2019 P1 Registration Exercise for 2020 In-take

Dear all
Is there anyway to check what is the composition of the applied # like the distance they belongs to. Eg: stay less than 1km; stay between 1-2km and stay more than 2km?
I ballot unsuccessfully in Nan hua primary school in phase 2c and is hoping to apply clementi primary in phase 2C supp. Unless I know how many ppl failed in phase 2c belong to more than 1km, i have no idea what is my chance when there is balloting in phase 2c supp which i think so. PHASE 2C NHPS 20/96 and Qifa 120/126. Left 76+6=82 assume all applied phase 2c supp for Clementi PS = 47/82. Half the chance if assume all is less than 1km. Can i say 76 may consist of more than 1km and hence my chance r higher?
In the scenario if i am still unsuccessful in phase 2c supp in clementi PS, will moe post me to Pei Tong PS if there is still vacancy after phase 2c supp.
Or should i just try a primary sch that is further than 2km and put ky kid on waiting list for NHPS for P2 since they r now upgrading and may have more vacancy coming 2021?
Love to hear your expert advise.

IMO, if you have a chance to ballot in Clementi, probably can try since most likely MOE will post you to the nearest school Pei Tong based on their preference over distance criteria. But you must have a strong preference over Clementi to take the risk

I do agree with what you say too. As PR we dont have the choice to be picky. We should go for the safe school and avoid balloting if possible.
Got into Fernvale Primary!
For many of you eyeing the popular schools, this is ‘ok’ news; but for me it is ‘special’.
We are relatively new to SG, received PR in July this year, just-in-time! We were new to P1 registration process and anxious to secure place in local school!
The MoE website provides all information objectively, but thanks to this forum, that we gain the real help and insights. Out friend circle in SG is limited and we don’t have any elderly or relatives to guide us. It is only this forum that helped us a lot to plan our moves and take decisions.
Here I got the mantra – as PR do not waste 2C chance!
The historical balloting records and similar analysis from experts was extremely useful.
Special thanks to Davischew, Floppy, Zac’s_mum, Lexy for the detailed analysis and truthful posts with ‘authority’. You are true source of guidance and kindness for parents like me!
These are my heartfelt thanks to all in this forum! Wishing good luck to all parents! Cheers!
The 3 schools around my house went in to balloting and i am super glad i avoided all 3 of them. Though its a bit far, i got a seat at St. Gabriel's. Which we are very happy about.
Thank you to all the supportive parents here who solved our nightmare worthy issues to the best of their capability.
Eternally grateful to this forum as it taught me a lot. Surely gonna help in many more years to come. Pls keep up the good work! -
Hi
Well my daughter's ballot was unsuccessful ðŸ˜
Anyone can predict if St Margaret is goin to be a popular choice amongst Singaporeans in phase 2c Supplementary? Because i dont think i am willing to go through another balloting process. My heart cannot take it anymore 😅 -

Sorry to hear that. SMPS with so little vacancies definitely going to ballot. Only if you are <2km then you might want to try.

Can I just check for school with less than 10 seats left and I’m within 1km have a higher risk in balloting and cant get in? Or should I just go ahead with 80+ seats available within 1km?

See the applicants ratio and decide on your risk on last day

There is the wait and see approach before registering, and then there is the show your interest right at the start so that other parents not willing to ballot will avoid registering. But be prepared to withdraw if the odds (vacancies/applicants) from balloting are not what you can stomach.
