At the moment, MOE updates the stats on applicants only at the end of each registration day when applicants go to the school.

MOE does not seem too keen on updating stats on distance at all.

Can I just check for school with less than 10 seats left and I'm within 1km have a higher risk in balloting and cant get in? Or should I just go ahead with 80+ seats available within 1km?
If there are Eg. 8 seats left and you still want to try, then u have to go down and monitor on the last day, how many other applicants are there <1km? If there are exactly 8 applicants <1km going for 8 seats, then of course there is no balloting and all of u go in fine. But if suddenly one more appears before closing time, then you will be subject to balloting. Decide if u want to take the risk.

If u have another school with 80+ seats and also <1km, of course it seems safer. Just double check that there are not 80+++ applicants for that school lor.[/quote]
LaraC, i guess you are refering to Fern Green/Anchor Green. If that's the case, there will be lots of spillover from Nan Chiau, so i suggest you don't try Fern Green. Even Anchor Green might be overwhelming. Probably monitor Anchor Green/Fernvale/Seng Kang.

          Dear all kiasuparents users,

any recommended school in Sengkang for phase 2C supplementary? Currently left the following school for P2CS:

          - Sengkang Primary - 52 students registered
          - Northspring Primary - 56 students registered
          - North Vista - 56 students registered
          - Palm View - 97 students registered
          - Anchor Green - 66 students registered

We are staying in Compassvale road and we just informed by MOE today that my kid’s P1 registration is unsuccessful. So just want to check with all the kiasuparents users to see the above primary school which is the best option.

Hi Bin98258, Might I know which school did you register unsuccessful if you don't mind? Thank you.

          Hi Annphan,

Compassvale primary school. Just located infront of my block. sigh.

            Hi

Well my daughter's ballot was unsuccessful 😭
Anyone can predict if St Margaret is goin to be a popular choice amongst Singaporeans in phase 2c Supplementary? Because i dont think i am willing to go through another balloting process. My heart cannot take it anymore 😅
Why not try Marymount Convent or CHIJ Katong? More vacancies. Please take note St Margaret will be at a holding site.

I notice that some of the schools have more than 100 seats left. Just why are the kiasur singporeans not interested in these schoosl? These schools are not located in Pulau Ubin or some other distant location. Why then noone likes these schools? Some of these schools like Anwar Abraham school have been around for 20+ years as well.

                Please help me understand.

Spelling error? Are u referring to Ahmad Ibrahim Primary? It is quite near to Yishun MRT, looks convenient indeed. You live in Sengkang, if you’re willing to travel there by train, I don’t see why not apply there.

I think she only cited as an example. Unpopular schools are just unpopular for too many reasons. You take your own pick.

people like to queue and ballot.. same like queueing up for your favorite food stall.. why you queue, and not patronize the stalls near the corners no queue at all...lol

the answer is because we have a the choice to choose.. when you can choose, obviously majority will aim for more popular school etc..

It’s not that no one likes these schools. It’s just that people prefer other schools for a variety of reasons.

                        Every school, a good school.
                        BUT
Not every school, an equal school.
