but isnt 13 questions abit too much for the kid? my gal says her classmate took the longest time among all, and has the most questions ask. maybe she was overwhelmed with the amount of questions, thus she broke down when she leave the room.

Very hard for me to comment as I'm not sure how her classmate responded to those questions and if questions like 为什么 is also counted in that 13 questions (how did she keep track of that number in the first place :p). >_<

I would guess that it's either her answers are all very short and lack depth/content or she was going out of point (maybe misunderstanding the questions)

xie xie chenlaoshi....... so normally, number of qns that the teachers will ask to be considered to have performed ok is ard how many? 4, 5, 6 or ?

        thank you chenlaoshi!
hope her classmate will put it past her and concentrate on tmr's english oral.
now i worry if my gal provided her 'answer' correctly. when she was ask what other interesting method she has encountered. she say e-learning. cos sometimes in school, the teachers are too busy to attend to their questions, but via e-learning/online, the teachers do replies to their queries. 😓 😓 😓
like :offtopic: liao.... she also says she like when the teachers bring them outdoor to conduct lessons, especially visiting garden, as she can learn more about different plants/flowers.

Yes, sounds good to me, what your daughter mentioned are All relevant points, not out of point

actually the Chinese Oral not simple, in that some of the points are inter-linked

Apologies for being direct but based on my personal experience, if I ask the student that number of 转向问题,chances are his answers to the initial questions weren't in depth. Thus unlikely to be 1st tier (13-15) of the grading for content.

I wouldn't say it's dependent on the number of questions that \"had to be\" asked but more of how the students responded to the questions.

For the 15 marks related to content, to achieve 13-15, the rubrics state that the student:
                    •\t需要极少的引导 (i.e. don't need further prompting/questions in addition to the 3 main + 1 转向)
                    •\t能够做出全面的回应和充分地扩展个人看法
                    •\t能够参与对话和持续地交流

Yes, make good use of today's experience to handle tomorrow's oral.

Yup, if you look at my earlier posts, e learning, learning journey, outdoor journey all acceptable. although how well the elaboration (logical, in depth - and in this case, covering the various advantages) goes will decide how well the students fare.

Yes. Other includes going to library, going online (surfing the internet, watching videos) and doing project work
