Sometimes tough is good. Easier to score as long as you talk and look confident. If it's easy, it's hard to differentiate oneself from so many other students - more difficult to score higher marks.
Exactly. One whole batch gets easy, other whole batch, difficult.jj_1808\" post_id=\"1929279\" time=\"1565925885\" user_id=\"31403:
I also find that it is quite unfair for students taking CL on day one and English on Day two.
This is where they should score.
Now this is affected. -
Yes but if the topic is inherently one that doesn’t lend itself well to conversation then try as they might, scoring will be difficult.
Compare reading where they can talk about school library, public library, benefits, programs, to lab rules that suddenly jump to a date you don’t forget. -

True, from some viewpoints. My dd got the so-called more difficult topics. She said she had to be resilient and handle the topics as best as she could. She found the topics different - not the cookie cutter type but she thinks it truly tested oral skills and not just how well prepared/ familiar one is.

True too, I guess. -
I thk not easy for some kids too. My dd told me one of her friend had difficulty to even read the passage, not only conversation. She said got a word 绕 she forgot how to pronounce. She read it as 烧 . She jusy 有旁读旁 LOL…

my child was given very different question for CL oral yesterday. was asked WHO do you prefer teaching you.
-
For EL, my child also got the question on "Have you lost anything before?". Just curious, does anything mean ANYthing? can it be friendship or trust?

Today EL Oral topic is tricky.
Here are the questions that some of my students had.

What is the theme, with an electric bulb (poster) there, a student looking at a PC ?
Is the theme on Energy saving, save electricity, switch off computer when not in use ?
Or is the theme on help aging, old folks, elderly senior citizen / young people, who are forgetful ?
3 questions asked were :
1) what changes can u made, to this poster ?
This part not easy because first, u must know what is the central theme first, before can suggest what attempt to make new changes to the poster.
If cannot even get the theme correct, how to know what suggestion to change the poster ?
2) how can you help people, who are forgetful ?
3) can share your own personal experience, when u forgot something ?
No one will ever anticipate that today p6 EL Oral topic kind of focus on the issue, \"forgetfulness\"
CL Oral : huan bao, is more straight forward, simpler because the poster is direct -
Wow that’s really unfair to day one kids. Huan bao, discussed many times. So much to say.
