One in the last few years for DSA via music to Year 1.
:yikes: One per year or one in the last few years?[/quote]
Despite that, there is no lack of talented musicians in RI. Grade 8 or Diploma holder is quite common. -

Very true. Top schools never lack music talents. That’s why MEP is offered in RI, ACSI and NJC.

There are 10 MEP secondary schools. Not just RI and ACSI.

And NJC is an AEP school, not MEP. -
Just sharing...a neighbours kid is doing MEP at NJC, 3rd year.

That is their own Music programme. Not the MEP. But I can understand your confusion since the website seems to write MEP on the left.

Edit, I don’t know how to paste links from pdf, but here is a picture from the choose-your-sec-school book.

Sorry maybe I have mistaken and thought NJC also offers MEP. I mentioned NJC because I remembered a few friends from NJC and was impressed by their music talent and knowledge.

I know there are more schools offering MEP. But I did not know so many schools are offering MEP, and all are really good schools. Thank you so much for the correction. -
When MEP started in 1982, it was only offered in DHS (O Level) and RJC (A Level). ACS (now ACS(I)), MGS and TKGS were added to the programme in 1983.
As for AEP, it was started in 1984 with TCHS (now HCI) and NYGH. In 1985, CHIJ TP, VS (for O Level) and NJC (for A Level) were added to the programme. -

I think it's only a small minority (not sure how small) that repeat J1, I believe. The vast majority move on to J2. \"Tough\" really depends on who you ask. I guess a lot do find it tough, but there are some who don't.
