Don’t think the allocation of Oral group, is done by SEAB.

It is arranged by your own primary school’s class Chinese Teacher.

      Eg.

For the top few P6 classes, lao shi may arrange to put some powerful girls in Chinese together, in the same Oral group, instead of merely to by class registration number .

      Eg

Say X and Y, are Top two 2019 P6 classes, in your primary school

      lao-shi may arrange to put
(5 strong Chinese girls from Top class X, plus another 3 strong, powerful girls from Top class Y), into the same Oral group

Some parents queried, why the grouping arrangement is "weird", not go by index number, which is more fair

In fact, for yesterday English Oral on "Library", a friend said her daughter was placed inside the powerful, strong girls identified for English, and the Oral questions asked were slightly a bit more difficult, than those being discussed in this forum

Maybe u can go back ask your Chinese / English Hod, how they group the girls, if u notice that they are not going according to the usual, registration index number. Only your own school HOD can answer on grouping

        Chen laoshi,

I thought the ‘whether keep the environment clean is cleaner's responsibility)’ is main question? If this is the 转向题what is the main main question to this 转向题? do you know what other 看法题there are today other than this one?
Opps, thanks for pointing out newbieks, typed too fast. Yes, I believe that's one of the main questions. 转向问题 after this included
        - 你为什么认为清洁工个人的工作辛苦(for those who mentioned we can help lighten the workload)?
        - 你认为清洁工人会因为这样(after student replied that 保持环境清洁 is everyone's responsibility) 而失去工作吗?

Can I ask anyone child encounter whilst the child is speaking, before the child finish what she want to says, the examiner sudden repeat the question? As a result, my child was scared and stop answering..

Was it the last question for EL?
Same thing happened. Don't know. Question unclear. Talk about date you always remember.
Then said, what about a date, just one date.
They were looking for a yearly thing. Not like, oh I remember the psle dates.

Oh no... my gal also replied PSLE/Prelim dates, she will not forget. Examiners never say yearly..just ask what date she will not forget. I feel this question is wide, not related to the topic at all. 😞

Actually, curious.. duringthe oral examination, so both Teachers take turn to ask questions? Or only one will ask? If both ask, is it pre-determined what questions they will ask in advance?

for my kid, only one Teacher asked questions, the other Teacher listened and jot down points

My gal's examiner, 1 ask questions, another dozed off!

maybe the invigilator appear to be dozed off, but actually he is listening to the number of Chinese character words the student dont know how to read aloud or trying to skip across quickly, during Oral passage reading

              , not really dozed off

Invigilators are paid $ to do the job, so cannot be sleeping. If caught sleeping on the job, will be sacked by moe.

Ya, my dd also came back telling me that one of her examiners looked like he was dozing off during the Oral Exam. Closing his eyes during the Oral Exam. Her classmates were discussing about it after the exam. But I told her that maybe he was closing his eyes trying to listen / focus on their pronunciation. Give him the benefit of the doubt. I hope I’m right.

Don't think he was sleeping, I hope not.
They can get into trouble if any parent reports this 😬
But yes I think a few pages back another post also said examiner dozed off.
Even they don't find the topic interesting.
If topic doesn't lend itself to interesting points being brought up, how on earth to score?
Setting the children up to score low. Compared to talking about a book they are reading or have read.

All this asking about one date, why is it even important to the EL Oral? To test p6 student forgetfulness if they remember anything or what ?

What if student really can’t remember any date at all, dont know how to answer ? Get zero score, for this qn, penalized for not bring able to recall / remember any single date ?

Why so weird suddenly ask for date, in EL Oral?
1st time come across psle eng oral, asking for dates, or is it a new psle starting trend, involving number games in English oral ? This is a language exam, not some Maths number national exam

Any EL Oral examiner or invigilator here, can help to answer: will the child get zero mark, if child can’t supply any date at all ?

It doesn’t have to be the number in the date… They want a yearly affair so birthday, mothers day etc ok

They won’t give zero, prob just prompt further.
But again, what other date day can a child mention?
National day? Then talk about independence and etc?
But this is a twelve year old child.
                        Most will say birthday because…
