Hi. My son is very weak in Math. Are there any good tips to improve it within a month, in time for PSLE? Much appreciated.

      1) Revise all the exam papers he has done in P6. Make sure he understands the questions in Paper 1 (45 marks) & Paper 2 Short-answer questions (10 marks). For those he got wrong, make sure he understands the corrections.
      2) Do PSLE past years papers on the above sections with timing.
      3) For Paper 2 Structured/ Long-answer questions (45 marks), identify the topic(s) that he usually gets wrong. Revise those topics.
      4) Schools should have gone through PSLE 2016 to 2018 with them. Ask him to redo Paper 2 Structured/ Long-answer questions.

      All the best!

Thank you so much, Coast! 😄

Sorry since this is late but for reading passage(english), if I were to say a whole sentence wrongly but I caught myself midway in the sentence and restarted from the start of the sentence without saying anything( e.g. sorry, i mean), is it fine?

        Example:
My mother and I had gone to the- My mother and I went to the shopping mall…

Thank you if anyone can reply.

Self correct OK I think. Just not too many times.

Is there any way to revise for various subjects, other than doing papers? We do until sian.

English and Chinese oral over, so it's just paper and doing compo. How to make it less dry?

Maths and Science, what else can we do?

Ya mine also do until sianz. So we dont go through all the past year Prelims now. Currently i just filtered out those topics my dds are weaker at, and got them to attempt those qns. Seems my dds are slowing down their pace, not sure if it is normal prior exam? They said they are ready huh...

how i wish besides PSLE Oral, PSLE (zuowen, eng composition, LC) also over, just leave behind main Paper 2, alleviate workload.

who is having Prelim this week, who is having next week ? sian lah

Same here, prelim papers starts this Thursday. But today have done Listening compre. Hope for the best.

I wonder how do we gauge the child t-score based on prelim? Ever hearsay that they use prelim to estimate t-score and know which range they will fall into.
                      Anyone know?

Multiply prelim aggregate by 0.72. That's what I used last year. Quite accurate. But of coz, anything can still happen in exams.
