Some schools started their Prelims on Monday until this Thursday (HCL on Friday), while other schools' Prelims mirror PSLE exam - start on Thursday until the following Tuesday (HCL on Wed) .

Yes, remember to bring water bottle, jacket, stationery, calculator and maths instruments (for Maths), e-dict (for Chinese Paper 1).

Does your school restrict stationery to transparent casings/ bags?

All the best to your DS/ DD! :celebrate:

Any update about the sleeping examiner at oral?
DD having prelims this week, she mentioned she did not see her Form teacher who is her Science teacher yesterday. I told her to look for her English teacher together with her friends today. will update again after she come home later.

One of the school's prelim CL picture compo is regarding misbehaving during outdoor learning/learning journey (ended up straying away from the group). Important to remind the kids that while climax is usually in picture 3-4/4-5, sometimes the story can peak really late. Thus, planning (5-ish minutes) is important, so that they plot their story and allocate enough time accordingly. All the best for Prelims!

                        Hi all,
Any one has any advice on how to improve on situational writing and comprehension? Ds is hovering near the high A and seems like this is one of the few areas where we can work on to push up the grade. I can't seem to find info on how marks are allocated or what to look out for in situational writing. Any ideas on how to improve in these 2 areas? Many thanks in advance.

One latest assessment book just launched recently is a good buy. Primary 6 English Situational Writing by Lim Geok Choo. Published by Curriculum Planning and Development Singapore Pte Ltd in 2019.

For SW (Situational Writing), this is a good book (author Lim Geok Choo), inside contain model answers (solution). Just out this year, fresh from the oven (published 2019)

This author also produced \"Mastering Grammar Skills\"
