We live in Jurong and we got posted to a school in Sembawang. Takes over an hour to get there. Have tried to waitlist in nearby schools but no luck so far.
What are you guys planning to do? I am wondering if I should homeschool them until we get a nearby school. -
this proves that foreigners does not have an easy life here in Singapore… there are advantages and disadvantages on being a foreigner or a citizen, but I believe the favor is still always better for citizens… and am not complaining… they deserve more of course…

you should monitor the vacancies via this website
http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/vacancies/
prior to the start of Phase 3, the number of vacancies left for the primary schools (those schools that are fully subscribed in earlier phases will not be listed there at that point of time) will be listed there.
good luck. -
Anybody knows whether Malaysia birth certificate needs to be translated to English? Where can we do it?

Hello, we are also registering for Phase 3. We have had a look at a few schools and wanted to view two others this week before Thursday, but when we contacted the schools they refused to give us a visit. Instead they suggested we turn up on Thursday and view the canteen and outdoor grounds, but won't let us into the library or to walk the halls. So, I am asking if anyone has seen the facilities or has an opinion to the quality of teaching staff at Yumin Primary or Griffiths Primary?
I think it is a bit unfair assuming we can make a decision after viewing two areas of the school. :stupid: We have tried to tour earlier than this week but were told they were busy with earlier phases of registration.
Can anyone give us insight into these two schools?
Thank you!
