over the years she tried to take down notes but always not successful.. cannot maintain..what I noticed on online., if Sci she will just listen, Math & Chi she will do the qns. I m more worry abt sci now, took a look at sa2 papers...hmm..certain answers to me like ok same leh but it was wrong..again it is the keywords? I need to take note when I mark her Sci papers.

chenlaoshi, yr eg reference to qn 33 & 40 means require the students to give own opinion kinda of qn/answer?

MrsKiasu, if note writing is switched to question 40, then yes, it usually replaces the OE compre question which tests the student about moral/lesson learnt from the story

Haha...nope. Is to read up on school & tuition worksheets. I don't dare to ask him revise on practice paper too much too as the answers are not 100% reliable. In case he learnt the wrong stuff.

For majority of the students, I would say so, as they are more exposed note writing in question 33. Thus, it'll be good if they can try out the switched questioning too.

For 2018 prelim paper can try : Nanhua; Pei Hwa; Raffles Girls
This year's prelim, Queenstown; ACS; St Hilda's and if I remember correctly, River Valley and Maris Stella also set at question 40.

patlsy79, psle format = compulsory 1 note writing question (4 marks - 2 for language 2 for content), can be set at either of the 阅读理解二 A, B sections

Just have to do more revision during next week school break. For mine, also always feel not enough time to cover all subjects

Yes I feel our kids have the same problem. Make resolutions but don’t materialise. Can’t imagine how to survive secondary school with much heavier workload.

when I pack her stuffs, I find her filing is really bad ..school notes everywhere..for many, school/tuition notes are very precious, revise before exam..but mine almost never. Me too, am beginning to worry for her secondary studies also. Sometimes I will think what jobs can dont need follow up arh..[/quote]At times, I filed the papers with my son. Knowing that he has no time(loading with school, home works, tuition and revision) , have no choice but to help him with certain things.
And I make sure, every week he clears his all the files so it will not be tedious when come to filing. 🙂
